Guo Baichuan's Painting Style

Guo Bochuan's sketch style was quite famous in Beijing and Tianjin in the late 1930' s. After World War II, Chinese style was integrated into folk artifacts, embroidery and temple red walls in Taiwan Province Province. Its painting style is characterized by simplicity and depth, emphasizing composition and rich colors, rigorous and accurate brushwork. Its line treatment implies the artistic conception of China's calligraphy.

From the traditional folk embroidery, utensils and red walls of temples in Taiwan Province Province, I seek the style color that blends with them, and refine the mature oriental spirit into my own works. The treatment of lines hides the artistic conception of calligraphy, and the painting style is simple and in-depth, focusing on composition; Saturated in color and vigorous and accurate in brushwork, he is an artist pursuing the essence of painting.
