guiyuen buddhist temple

It's cloudy. It looks like rain. My cousin took my father, uncle, sister-in-law, my daughter and my cousin's daughter to Guiyuan Temple. My cousin said that Guiyuan Temple is known as "the most spiritual temple in the world". May parents live a long and healthy life. I don't know the Buddha, but I worship him with respect and piety.

Guiyuan Temple is located in Cuiwei Road, Hanyang District, Wuhan. It is the famous Buddhist Cao Dongzong Temple in Wuhan, Hubei Province, and the first of the four Buddhist jungles in Wuhan (including Baotong Temple, Xilian Temple and Zhengjue Temple). The State Council announced the first batch of key sites for religious activities-AAAA national scenic spots. It covers an area of 4.67 hectares and has more than 200 temples.

The outer mountain gate of Guiyuan Temple is a new mountain gate with antique design. In the Buddhist scriptures, there is a fan-shaped empty door in the middle, and there is no phase and no door on the left and right respectively. The three doors of this temple open outward in the shape of eight characters, and Zhang symbolizes the meaning of good karma and universal life. The four characters "Guiyuan Buddhist Temple" are embedded in the wall, with neat fonts and rough strokes, giving people a majestic momentum.

Father, uncle and sister-in-law are all over 60 years old, so there is no need to buy tickets. These two little girls are no more than one meter two. Cousin will stop the car and I will buy a ticket. The fare is ten yuan, which is so cheap. Father and uncle each bought a bundle of incense and watches outside the temple, ready to go into the temple to burn incense and worship Buddha.

Who knows, there is a big round basket in the fan-shaped empty door. When checking in, all foreign fragrant papers are not allowed to be taken. They are thrown in a basket full of incense and watches. Sister-in-law smiled, and Buddhism was clean, so clean and dust-free! Walking inside, two grandmothers in their seventies, with silver hair and kind eyes, gave three sticks of incense to the people who entered the temple, so they didn't give them as gifts.

People entering the temple are in an endless stream, silent, suspicious and calm. Our party followed the crowd, burned incense and bowed down, muttering, pious and sacred.

Guiyuan Temple consists of three distinctive courtyards: North Courtyard, Intermediate Courtyard and South Courtyard. We turned from north to south with the tour guide. Buddhism pays attention to it and does not look back.

There are the Sutra Pavilion and the Cuiwei Pavilion in the North Yard. The temple is famous for its towering old trees, lush flowers and trees, green springs and winding paths.

The hall in the sutra depository is tall and wide, with Siddhartha Gautama and a piece of white jade in the middle, which was given to Guiyuan Buddhist Temple by the disciple of Myanmar Buddhism Sambo 1935 in August, weighing about 2 tons.

The first floor of the Tibetan Classics Pavilion is a showroom, which displays the stone carvings of the Northern Wei Dynasty, Guanyin and other ancient Buddha statues in the Tang Dynasty. Can't go in to visit and worship. On the second floor, there are more than 7,000 volumes of Buddhist classics, including those carved by India, Myanmar, Thailand, Sri Lanka and other countries. The abbot is Master Long Yin. The tour guide focused on the couplets at the entrance of the sutra depository:

Part I: I saw it, I did it, I put it down. Why not?

Bottom line: Wisdom comes from awareness, whether it comes from freedom or not.

The tour guide said that punctuation and sentence breaking have different meanings, and there are many kinds of sayings. For example, the first part: do it when you see it, put it down when you do it, why not do it; Bottom line: Wisdom comes from awareness, and awareness comes from freedom, with or without life.

Whenever you want to do something, once you think of it, start doing it at once, don't wait or hesitate. When things are done, your thoughts will fade away, so you can put it down and stop worrying. The Heart Sutra says, "The heart is free. There are no obstacles. There is no terror. Stay away from upside-down dreams. After all, nirvana. " There's nothing better.

Wisdom comes from understanding and knowledge, and knowledge comes from the natural heart of knowledge. On the whole, the core of the upper part is "letting go" and the core of the lower part is "freedom". The great wisdom of life lies in "letting go of peace of mind and being at ease". Live free and easy, open-minded, free and happy.

Listening to you is better than studying for ten years! Listening to the tour guide's meticulous explanation, the Buddhism of the soul opens leisurely, Zen is like a spring, and the notes of the soul are like a dream. Let go, and you will be comfortable. Let go of all grievances and cherish the peace you have now. This is the greatest happiness!

Further north are three temples, mainly dedicated to the "Three Saints of the West". If there are old people at home, you can kneel down and pray for them. My cousin and I made a series in unison, kneeling for the elderly to live long and safely.

Walking from north to middle, I came to the Hall of Heroes, and it began to rain outside. The tour guide said that when it rains, the bodhisattva appears, benefiting all beings and the world.

Daxiong Hall is the main hall of the temple, where monks have morning and evening classes. In the center of the hall is the statue of Sakyamuni, and on both sides are his disciples Ananda and Ye Jia, all of which are intangible sculptures. Feng Jiahao, a great calligrapher in Qing Dynasty, wrote the four characters "Hall of Great Heroes". This group of large-scale plastics with a height of 6 meters, a width of 4 meters and an inclination angle of 30 degrees are made of primary materials such as silk and brown hemp. On the walls on both sides of the Hall of Great Heroes, there are eighteen arhats, which are lifelike and add wings to the tiger.

Behind the statue of Sakyamuni is a sculpture group centered on Island Guanyin, so it is called "Nanhai Guanyin". The sculpture scene is magnificent, and there are 24 statues behind Guanyin for 24 days. The gods are flying in the air, majestic and brave, and the golden light overlooks the masses. I thank Guanyin Bodhisattva for giving me a pair of children and a happy family. I bowed my thanks and put in ten dollars.

Go ahead and you will find the Wei Tuo Hall of the Intermediate People's Court. On the back of Wei Tuo Hall, there are four characters inscribed by Master Changming: "Back to the shore". Among them, the word "shore" next to "mountain" is not on the top, but put aside. This Zen meaning lies in: the man of practice should put down the burden in his heart and not keep the "mountain" in his heart. In the Wei Tuo Hall above the Maitreya statue on the front, there is also an inscription written by Master Chang Ming, which reads "All the best". The middle of a horizontal line in the word "big" is particularly thick. If this horizontal line is removed, it is the word "person". Like the belly of Maitreya; The two "mouths" of the word "Xi" are not completely sealed, which means "smiles are always open". On the sills on both sides of the Buddha statue, the words "magnanimity can accommodate things that are difficult to tolerate in the world, and compassion can be given to people who are often small and ridiculous" are written. The Buddhist temple is a holy place with exquisite words, complete enlightenment and wisdom in life.

Outside the gate of Wei Tuo Temple is the release pond. The discharge pool is15.6m wide and 25m long. It consists of 64 stone pillars and 64 stone tablets. Carve a stone lion on each stone pillar. On the four corners of the pool, there are four words "Ayida Pool", each word is nearly one meter square. There are white water-spraying lotus flowers in the north and south of the pool, and the petals are covered with "turtles" who have devoted themselves to cultivation. There are countless red goldfish swimming in the grass-green water. Fish and turtles are companions, whispering and meditating. The railing was surrounded by tourists, staring curiously at the water. It's your own soul that crossed over.

The Lohan Hall in the South Courtyard is dedicated to 500 Lohan statues made by plastic peeling technology. According to legend, it was made by Wang Huangpi and his son by air molding. Mix hemp fiber, kudzu vine cloth, raw lacquer and Guanyin soil into materials, and paste the molded clay tire layer by layer. After drying, water is injected to melt the mud and the hollow arhat is made. After drying, seal the wood block, paint it with raw lacquer, paste it with gold foil, and coat it with tung oil or varnish to keep its luster. Light and hard, with different shapes, it is in a "Tian" shape layout.

People like to use the method of "counting arhats" to predict the fate of a year. Choose an arhat at random and count down. When you are about your age, see what Lohan looks like and go to the front to find a Zen master to decipher the "life code".

To the south is Dashige, which has been wandering around with the tour guide. There is nothing to buy as a souvenir. Guiyuan Temple completely enjoyed it.

Why is it called Guiyuan Temple? The mage replied: "Yuan number is the beginning, Tao is the extreme, and things are the total. Returning to yuan means returning to nature, naturalizing and returning to nature, which means the same as "passing away" "Circle" is the ultimate of all advantages. Silence is the silence of all troubles. Returning to the Yuan Dynasty is a way to become a Buddha. "

Oh! Like being bled by the governor, I suddenly realized. We have more or less understood the Zen of Guiyuan Temple, and I'm glad you came home with a full load. It is really "the mountain is not high, the fairy is in the spirit, the water is not deep, and the dragon is fine." There is a Buddha in my heart, and everywhere is a blessing!
