Different from other Han scripts, the seal script of the tablet forehead was carved in block letters. Its pen is straight, shaped like a gold thread, and its structure is square, full and straight. Taking official script as seal script, stippling is fine, hard and powerful; Fonts vary in size and are arranged like seals. Its exquisite knife work shows the tacit understanding and exquisite skills of cooperation between calligraphers and sculptors, making it unique. It is different from the Stone Que written by Qin Jun (in the 17th year of Yong Yuan in the Eastern Han Dynasty (105)) and the remains unearthed in the first year of Yonghe in Beijing (136) (see Figures 4 and 5). It is clever, powerful, just folded and rich in business. More interestingly, a spirit beast, a green dragon and a white tiger were carved on both sides of the forehead, which set off Suzaku in the tablet shadow more prominently, which not only injected aura into its tablet body, but also added a lot of cultural atmosphere of the times.
The negative part of the monument, the words are not bounded, the handwriting is uneven, patchwork and simple, which is superior to Ding Beiyang. On the whole, the first four lines, the middle five lines and the last six lines have different shapes, as if they were carved with three strokes or three knives. The front is square, vigorous and rigorous, and the stippling is symmetrical and dignified, slightly clumsy; The middle part seems to be round and round, with a weak posture and a little fatigue; The second half seems to be conscious and full of energy to save the central part, but it feels too hasty, even if the brushwork is skilled and old, it is difficult to hide the suspicion of haste. The whole story is also more vivid and natural. A magpie danced on his forehead, making the finishing point, which solved the deadlock of the monument and brought a somewhat active atmosphere.
The calligraphy style of the Yellow River Monument in Xi 'an is the first in form and quality, especially the Yin part of the monument, which has a great influence on the calligraphy style of Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties. The treasure tablet in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, some epitaphs and the dragon tablet in the Southern Song Dynasty all have this idea.
The official script of Huang Xian arsenic is steep and majestic, but it is not necessarily suitable for beginners. After you have mastered a certain official script foundation and gained a certain appreciation ability, you will learn something new. It is easy to appear stiff, delicate and mysterious when you first arrive at this monument, and once this bad habit is cultivated, it will often be difficult to extricate yourself and affect your life.
