Brief introduction to the content of five-body dictionary
The Wuti Dictionary is compiled according to the List of Common Words in Modern Chinese published by the State Language Commission and the State Education Commission1October 26th, 1988. It contains 2500 common words and 1000 sub-common words, which are arranged in the order of strokes from less to more, and each word is written in regular script, running script, official script and cursive script respectively. Regular script is written in simplified Chinese characters, and some traditional Chinese characters are attached to the last line for comparison. As for variant characters, this dictionary generally doesn't accept them. Running script, official script and cursive script are all customary writing methods, which emphasize the artistic beauty of calligraphy instead of simplifying it. Calligraphy dictionary is essential for learning calligraphy. With a calligraphy dictionary in hand, it is much more convenient to look up the writing style of a word. In recent years, there are more and more learners, and many readers hope to have a concise, practical and convenient calligraphy reference book. To this end, our society specially invited calligraphers Mr. Luo Hengguang and Mr. Yu Juli to compile this five-body dictionary.
