Ancient Six Arts
Six arts require students to master six basic talents: etiquette, music, archery, imperial, calligraphy and mathematics. Interpretation of the Five Classics: "A few artists in the six arts may use poetry instead of music, and those who combine ancient poems with music are the real musicians."
