After the establishment of this association, calligraphy education organizations were established all over the country. A total of 3 1 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government and cities with separate plans have established calligraphy education professional committees (research committees) with more than 1000 members. In order to meet the needs of the development of the situation, since 1994, the Association has also set up a calligraphy education research center, a calligraphy education teacher training center, a calligraphy creation steering committee, a calligraphy education supervision office and a calligraphy education lecturer group, and established calligraphy education cooperation groups in North China, East China, Northeast China and Southwest China, as well as preparatory groups for calligraphy education cooperation groups in Central South China and Northwest China. Through the regional promotion of calligraphy teaching experiments, 23 experimental areas, 19 experimental bases and 2 17 experimental schools have been developed. As a result, calligraphy education institutions spread all over the country, forming a network, which laid a reliable organizational guarantee for the work.
Second, the formation system of textbook editing.
According to the spirit of the Notice of the General Office of the State Education Commission [1990] No.025 on Strengthening Calligraphy Teaching for Primary and Secondary School Students in Compulsory Education, entrusted and approved by the relevant departments of the former State Education Commission, we organized the compilation and evaluation of calligraphy textbooks for the nine-year compulsory education, writing training for normal students, basic calligraphy courses for secondary vocational schools (now renamed as basic calligraphy courses for normal students) and calligraphy textbooks for colleges and universities. These textbooks have been approved by the Ministry of Education and listed in the national book catalogue, which are widely used and well received. In order to meet the needs of quality education, a teaching reference book "Handbook for Primary School Writing" was compiled, and a series of introductory calligraphy textbooks such as inkstone, Liu Ti, European style and hard pen were introduced for special students. At this point, from primary school, junior high school, secondary vocational school to university calligraphy textbooks, from writing textbooks to special students' calligraphy textbooks and university calligraphy textbooks, a system has been formed, which is scientific and standardized, filling the gap in the construction of calligraphy textbook system in the history of calligraphy education in China.
Third, train teachers and improve their quality.
In order to strengthen teacher training and comprehensively improve teachers' quality. The association held nine short-term training courses for primary and secondary school calligraphy teachers, training more than 900 teachers; He also entrusted Tianjin Shenzhou Painting and Calligraphy Institute to hold seven correspondence classes for calligraphy teachers, and volunteered to train more than 6,300 teachers for various places. 1999, a two-year junior college course of calligraphy and seal cutting was jointly held with Tianjin College of Trade Union Management Cadre, with a total enrollment of 43 students in two phases. Two national advanced calligraphy creation training courses were held to train more than 200 students. Various forms and methods have been adopted in various places, with the teachers trained by this association as the backbone, and secondary or tertiary teacher training has been carried out, and nearly 10 thousand teachers have been trained.
Fourth, strengthen practical teaching and scientific research guidance.
Since its establishment, the Association has held five national academic seminars on calligraphy education and exchanged more than 300 papers. In the meantime, two "international seminars on calligraphy education" were jointly held with Macao, Singapore and other countries and regions, and nearly 100 papers were exchanged. He also held five national calligraphy education seminars in Guiyang, zhuanghe city, wafangdian city, Jingjiang, Jintan and Fangshan, and exchanged more than 300 papers. Calligraphy education experimental bases and schools all over the country have also carried out academic research activities on calligraphy education of different scales, and exchanged more than a thousand papers. 1999, the society launched the "cross-century writing education and scientific research plan" and set up 23 key scientific research topics. These activities have effectively guided and promoted the development of writing research and teaching at the grass-roots level.
Fifth, hold a book contest to develop students' specialties.
The Association and relevant units jointly held the National Calligraphy Selection Competition for Primary and Secondary Schools, the National Yucai Cup Hard Pen Calligraphy Competition, the National Calligraphy Competition for Primary and Secondary School Students, the National Calligraphy Exhibition for Teachers and Students of Secondary Normal Schools, the Calligraphy Exhibition for Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Founding of People's Republic of China (PRC) and Welcoming Macao's Return to the Motherland, and the Calligraphy Exhibition of the National Writing Education Experimental School. These competitions and exhibitions have been welcomed and praised by teachers and students all over the country, which have developed their personality and innovative spirit and improved their practical ability.
Sixth, foreign exchanges carry forward the quintessence of the country.
Since 1994, the Association has established contacts with calligraphers' associations, research institutions and societies in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Province Province, organized delegations to visit and study, and held joint exhibitions of calligraphy works and academic exchange activities. In June 2000 1994 and1October 165438, the association and calligraphers' associations of relevant countries and regions held two "international academic seminars on calligraphy education", which were held in September 1994 and June 20001/kloc. In June, 5438+0995 and June, 5438+00, the China and Macau primary and secondary school teachers' calligraphy exhibition was jointly held, and in June, 2000, the Southeast Asian teachers' calligraphy exhibition was jointly held with the Macau Calligraphers Association. Around these activities, four delegations exchanged visits to study and formulate cooperation intentions. In order to strengthen contacts and exchanges with Japanese compatriots, I was invited to visit Japan in July, 1999, and studied the history and present situation of calligraphy education in primary and secondary schools in Japan. Expand the external communication channels of calligraphy education, enhance friendship and cooperation, and carry forward the artistic spirit of China's calligraphy.
Seven, the establishment of newspapers and periodicals to disseminate information.
In order to strengthen the propaganda and guidance of national calligraphy education, the Association has successively established China Calligraphy and Painting Newspaper and China Calligraphy Education Magazine (quarterly), and established special issues of China Calligraphy Education and China Calligraphy Education in cooperation with China Art Newspaper, China Education Newspaper and Calligraphy Herald. Together with Beijing Cultural Relics Publishing House and Macao Calligraphers' Association, the series "Juvenile Calligraphy Express Train" was founded, which expanded the propaganda and public opinion position of calligraphy education, disseminated teaching information, strengthened academic theory guidance, promoted the exchange of work experience and promoted the popularization and development of calligraphy education.
Eight, make plans, clear goals.
In order to carry out the instruction spirit of the Ministry of Education on strengthening calligraphy education and improving students' quality, I started the "Great Wall Project of Cross-century Calligraphy Education" at the 1996 Guiyang Conference, and its contents were summarized as "1, 10, 100, 100, 100 million", that is, compiling a series of calligraphy textbooks from primary schools to universities, establishing ten counties and above as experimental bases for calligraphy education, and establishing one hundred. The launch of this plan reflects everyone's wishes and has received positive responses from all over the country, which has quickly formed a huge upsurge of striving for national experimental bases, experimental schools and advanced calligraphy educators. The above planning objectives have been basically achieved, and some indicators have been overfulfilled. The development situation is very gratifying, which has effectively promoted the healthy development of writing education along the direction of quality education. In order to further consolidate the achievements of calligraphy education and promote calligraphy and calligraphy education to a higher level, the second phase of the Great Wall project is about to start.
