The bright moon is divided into two parts, and the crane moves home with He Xun***.

He Shi was a bibliophile and calligrapher in the Qing Dynasty. He was a Jinshi in the 25th year of Daoguang's reign. He was highly appreciated by Zeng Guofan and was said to be "a talented person's pen is admired by everyone". Later, he traveled to Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangsu and other places, looking for business opportunities and became extremely rich. A great deal of construction work was carried out in Yangzhou, and Huyuan (later renamed "Huyuan") was built as the land of Cuqiu.

He sang harmony with Qu Dajun, Chen Gongyin, Liang Peilan, etc. and founded the Huxin Poetry Society. When guests come, they don't ask their names, and they drink wine and sing the joy of the day. There are those who stay away for months and months. It was called Shiyin at that time. He was highly appreciated by Zeng Guofan and Li Hongzhang. Zeng Guofan

He went to Yangzhou twice and stayed at He Shu's house both times. Once, He Shi invited Zeng Guofan to drink. During the dinner, He Shi talked about how he used salt to get rich in Daying Mansion after he was dismissed from office, and invited Zeng Guofan to inscribe the title for the residence. Zeng Guofan thought of Fan Li who was "loyal to the country, wise to protect one's life, and became rich in business and famous all over the world". He assisted Gou Jian to destroy Wu and avenge Kuaiji's humiliation. He knew that Gou Jian could be with the Communist Party of China in adversity and suffer the same fate. An Le then floated to the sea, concealed his name, became a couple with the gulls, and managed to produce tens of millions. He then dispersed all his wealth to Tao and named himself Tao Zhu Gong.

Then he wrote the first couplet:

In the thousand hectares of Taihu Lake, gulls and Tao Zhu live in the same house;

He Shi saw that the allusion in the first couplet was appropriate, and I offered him three glasses of wine. After drinking, Zeng Guofan thought of He Xun, a writer from the Qi and Liang Dynasties in the Southern Dynasties who was able to write poetry at the age of eight. He Xun's lyrical descriptions of scenes were extremely exquisite, with a fresh and graceful style, such as in "Farewell to Jiangzhou and Traveling to the Past"

"The night raindrops drop on the empty steps, and the light is dark when leaving the room"; in "Farewell to Hu Xing'an at Night", "the dew wets the grass in the cold pond, and the moon reflects the clear Huaihe River"; in "Farewell", "the river is dark and the rain is about to come, and the waves are white and the wind is beginning "Get up" and so on, the scenes blend together and seem to come at your fingertips, but

it is sincere and unforgettable after reading it. He was good at using fluent language to describe natural scenery in detail and with neat contrasts, which had a clear influence on Du Fu. When He Xun was in Yangzhou, he often chanted "Oh" every time the plum blossoms were in full bloom. Later, he lived in Luoyang.

He couldn't miss the plum blossoms, so he asked to be appointed to Yangzhou again. , be friendly with the scribes, and be proud all day long. Isn't He Shi just like He Xun? He moved to Yangzhou with the crane. And there is a sentence in Xu Ning's poem "Remembering Yangzhou": "The world is divided into three parts

The bright moon night is divided into two parts, and Yangzhou is divided into two parts." So Zeng Guofan wrote the second couplet:

The bright moon is divided into two parts. , Crane moved home with He Xun.

In this way, a couplet embeds two allusions, leaving a beautiful story through the ages.
