Accept Buddhist thought. The founder of Buddhism, Sakyamuni, always has a mysterious color from birth to death to becoming a Buddha. Of course, the ideological power of Buddhism has always influenced the world. Buddhism calls people to be good and pursue straightness. I don't introduce Buddhist thought. During his exile, Su Shi visited the eminent monks, accepted Buddhist thoughts, and gradually buddhized his grief and pain. In other words, Buddhist thought is most effective when life is most desperate. Of course, so do great writers. Su Shi is also called Su Jushi. The so-called lay man refers not to scholars, but to lay disciples who accept Buddhist thought. Su Shi has been a Buddhist for nearly half his life, and many of his poems are full of philosophy. It is this accepted Buddhist thought that enabled him to find his own liberation and achieve the so-called optimism and openness.
He likes to make friends, no matter where he was born, he is very childlike. Wherever he was exiled, he would find friends everywhere, from farmers to literati to chivalrous men. Many friends came to Hainan not far from Wan Li to look for him. This shows that he is still childlike. Making friends cares about trust, and he trusts his friends without suspicion. Deep friend trust and love. Therefore, when he is in danger again, there are always many people to help him, and he can live a hard life happily.
These are Su Shi's open-minded ways. From a certain point of view, literati are contradictory, and so is Su Shi. People who accept Buddhist thought are indifferent to fame and fortune, but there will be a little negativity in their hearts. This is related to the Buddhist trend of thought, so they are indifferent and open-minded, but sincere, indifferent and negative. Seemingly contradictory, actually compatible. People who accept Buddhist ideas are bound to have Buddhist tendencies or follow Buddhist ideas, so they will inevitably become indifferent.
