China Calligraphy Association Hou Yu

Hou was born in 1943 in hua county, Shaanxi. He is currently vice president of Qindong Calligraphy and Painting Institute, member of China Calligraphy Society, member of Shaanxi Calligraphers Association, researcher of Shaanxi Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Institute, vice president of xi Yellow River Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, and assistant to the chairman of Weinan Calligraphers Association.

Huan Hong loved the art of calligraphy since childhood, worked as a secretary for a long time, and devoted himself to studying art. He was familiar with calligraphy, cursive script, seal script and official script, especially cursive script. His works have participated in more than 70 calligraphy exhibitions at home and abroad, and won more than half of them, including 6 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 7 bronze medals. For example, he won the innovation award in the "National Folk Arts and Crafts Calligraphy Exhibition" organized by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and China Folk Writers Association, and was awarded the honorary title of "Artists with both ability and political integrity on both sides of the Taiwan Strait"; He has won the second prize of "Sunshine Cup" and "Phoenix Cup" in two national painting and calligraphy competitions. His artistic biographies and calligraphy works have been included in hundreds of dictionaries such as Who's Who in the World and China Century Experts, and have also been collected by more than 50 libraries or individuals such as People's Daily, People's Pictorial, South Korea and Taiwan Province Province.
