Rong Bai was a native of Tongzhou in Qing Dynasty. Smart and studious since childhood, everyone in the village praised him as a child prodigy. In the fifty-fourth year of Qianlong, he was selected by Zhili Province from Tongzhou Jinshi, and was sent to Beijing and imperial academy to study.
