What are the characteristics of Lingnan calligraphy in Qing Dynasty?

Lingnan calligraphy in Qing Dynasty has one major feature, namely "poet's calligraphy" and "painter's calligraphy". Almost all successful calligraphers have the comment of "meticulous poetry and good painting" in their biographies.

The theory of homology of calligraphy and painting has been accepted by many calligraphers. While learning calligraphy, they also wrote several "literati paintings", such as Liang, princes, Gan, Feng, Huang Danshu, Huang, Fang, Xie Lansheng, Huang Peifang, Lv Xiang, Wu Rongguang, Zhang Song Yue, Luo Tianchi, King Wong and Xiong.

Most of them write poems or couplets, which can show the elegance of literati. Among them are Li Jian and Xie Lan. Pay more attention to the "three musts" of poetry and calligraphy and even the "four musts" of poetry and calligraphy.
