Hometown of Talents —— Linchuan Culture in Fuzhou —— Six Cultural Subsystems

Fuzhou, called Linchuan in ancient times, is known as "the land of talents and the country of culture". In Wang Bo's Preface to Tengwang Pavilion in the Tang Dynasty, there is a chant that "Zhu Hua carries water, and a pen is light on Linchuan". A large number of famous Confucian giants have emerged in history, such as Wang Anshi, a reformer in the Northern Song Dynasty, Ceng Gong, a great writer, Yan Shu, Lu Jiuyuan, and Tang Xianzu, a great poet. Fuzhou is the hometown of gifted scholars, traditional Chinese medicine, traditional Chinese opera, neo-Confucianism and Ma Gu.

In history, seven prime ministers, 13 deputy prime ministers and more than 3,000 scholars have been trained. There are more than 300 scholars who have written books, with 48 1 species and more than 5,580 volumes, of which more than 770 volumes of 65 kinds have been included in Sikuquanshu. According to records, since the establishment of the scientific research system in history, there have been 654.38+million scholars in China, including more than 654.38+million in Jiangxi, accounting for110 in China, and nearly 3000 in Fuzhou, accounting for13 in Jiangxi.

Linchuan culture bred in Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province mainly has six regional characteristics, from which we can see the glory of Linchuan culture in Fuzhou, namely, gifted scholar culture (literature), traditional Chinese medicine culture (medicine), neo-Confucianism culture (philosophy), drama culture (folk customs), Zen culture (Buddhism) and Taoism culture (Taoism).

A, gifted scholar culture (literature)

The Complete Works of Jiangxi Writers and Artists in Past Dynasties contains 1.296 people, including 3 1.7 Fuzhou famous artists, accounting for almost a quarter. There are 867 poets in Song Dynasty in China, 0/53 in Jiangxi/KLOC and 44 in Fuzhou. Especially Yan Shu, a famous poet in the Northern Song Dynasty, Wang Anshi, a great reformer, Ceng Gong, a great psychologist in the Southern Song Dynasty, and Tang Xianzu, a great dramatist in the Ming Dynasty. In Song Dynasty, there were only over 400 academies in China, and there were over 40 academies in Fuzhou, accounting for110. From the Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, there were * * Jinshi 10553 people in Jiangxi, including 2,450 in Fuzhou, accounting for about 23% of the total in the province.

Second, Chinese medicine (medicine) culture

Minjiang medicine is one of the four local medical schools in ancient China, which is distributed in Minjiang River Basin (now Fuhe River Basin) in Jiangxi Province. From ancient times to the present, there are many famous doctors, who are rich in medicine and promote medicine, forming a unique local medical group and famous doctor circle represented by Nan Song Chen and Wei Yilin in Yuan Dynasty, which has become a symbol of the prosperity of ancient medicine in Jiangxi. Ancient Korean medical masterpiece Hejundong Medical Collection is one of the top ten medical books in China that are frequently cited, including Li Qian's Introduction to Medicine, Wei Yilin's Effective Prescriptions for World Medicine, Gong Xin's Notes on Ancient and Modern Medicine, and Gong Tingxian's Rejuvenation for All Diseases. Among the top ten famous doctors in ancient Jiangxi, eight doctors in Minjiang were Chen, Wei Yilin, Gong Zhongzhu, Yu, Huang Gongxiu and Xie, among whom seven were from Fuzhou. Jianchang Gang, one of the two major drug trafficking gangs in Jiangxi, was originally from Cheng Nan, Fuzhou.

Three. Neo-Confucianism culture (philosophy)

Li Gou was an important philosopher, thinker, educator and reformer in the Northern Song Dynasty, and was called "a Confucian for a while". Lu Jiuyuan, a philosopher and educator in the Southern Song Dynasty, was the founder of Xin Xue and the pioneer of Wang Lu's Xin Xue. Wu was a famous philosopher and educator at the end of Yuan Dynasty. Together with Xu Heng, he was called "Southern Wu and Northern Xu" and founded the "Cao Lu School", which was called the only person after Zhu by Qian Mu. Wu Yubi, founder of Neo-Confucianism in Ming Dynasty, founded the famous "Benevolence"; Luo Rufang, a famous philosopher, educator, writer and poet in the middle and late Ming Dynasty, and a representative of Taizhou School, is known as the pioneer of enlightenment thinkers such as Huang Zongxi in the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty.

Fourthly, China traditional opera culture (folk custom).

Tang Xianzu, a dramatist and writer in the late Ming Dynasty, is known as "China Sage" and "Oriental Shakespeare". He is the author of Peony Pavilion, Purple Hairpin, Handan and Conan, which are collectively called "Linchuan Four Dreams" and are the world's drama art treasures. In addition, folk dances and operas such as Nanfeng Nuo Dance, Guangchang Mongolian Opera, Yihuang Opera, Le 'an Nuo Dance and Linchuan Tea-picking Opera are all listed as national intangible cultural heritage. Nuo dance is "the living fossil of ancient dance in China" and the treasure of Linchuan culture. Fuzhou is the "hometown of Nuo dance" in China. There are 10 Nuo counties in Jiangxi province, and Fuzhou accounts for 6 counties, among which Nanfeng Nuo is the oldest, the most systematic and the most complete, which "extends for more than 3,000 years" and enjoys a good reputation at home and abroad. Fuzhou tea-picking opera is a strong force in Fuzhou local opera, which is deeply loved by local people and favored by drama circles.

During the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties, temples in Fuzhou were all over urban and rural areas and were known as the "Zen River Center in the World". Caoshan Baoji Temple, located in Yihuang County, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, was founded by Benji Zen Master in the Tang Dynasty. It is the birthplace of Cao Dongzong, one of the five schools of Zen in China, and also the birthplace of Cao Dongzong in the world. Shigong Temple is the first sight of Mazu Yi Dao, the founder of Hongzhou School (including Lin Ji School and Luyang School originated from Baizhang Huaihai Gate), the most important sect of Zen. The first performance of Zen master Zu Wenyi was held in Linchuan Chongshou Hospital. Zen master Yan Wen, founder of Yunmen Sect, studied with Zen master Kuang Ren in Shushan Temple 10. Shou Chang Temple in lichuan county in Xincheng (now Jiangxi) founded the Shou Chang School in Cao Dongzong. Its legal heirs, such as Boshan Yuanlai, Ling Zhan Yuanjing, and Yongjue Yuan Xian, each pushed one side and developed three branches of Boshan, Dongyuan and Gushan. Today, Cao Dongzong almost belongs to the legal system of Shou Chang. Many Zen Buddhism originated in Fuzhou and developed here.

Six, Taoist culture (Taoism)

Fuzhou is rich in Taoist culture. Cheng Nan Magu Mountain is a Taoist scenic spot in the southeast of China, the 28th cave and 10th blessed land of Taoism, and also the Dojo of the longevity goddess and Taoist fairy Magu. Therefore, Nancheng County was named "the hometown of Magu culture in China". During the reign of Emperor Zhao of the Han Dynasty, the immortal Duke and his disciples Wang and Guo Erxian practiced in Danxia Mountain. In the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Ge Hong, a great physician, practiced alchemy here. In the Tang Dynasty, Deng Ziyang studied Taoism in Magu Mountain, and Yan Zhenqing, a great calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty, visited Magu Mountain and wrote "The Immortal Altar of Magu Mountain", which is known as "the best regular script in the world". The Great Huashan Mountain in Le 'an (also a famous mountain), according to the Records of Famous Mountains in the World, at the beginning of the Western Han Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty, the Zhenjun of Fuqiu taught Wang and Guo Erxian to "fly three or five steps, clear up the Dharma in September", burn pills and soar.

In addition, there are many Taoist celebrities in Fuzhou who run schools to become immortals. According to legend, Magu in Cheng Nan is the longevity goddess of Chinese folk belief and Taoism. Huang, a famous female crown in Tang Dynasty, was born in Linchuan, also known as "Flower God". Deng Ziyang, a Taoist and Chengnan in the early Tang Dynasty, founded the Northern Emperor Taoism School. Rao Dongtian, a famous Taoist priest and Linchuan native in the Five Dynasties, founded the Taoist Tianxin School; Wenqing Wang, a famous Taoist in Song Dynasty, was born in Nanfeng, and founded the Shen Xiao School of Taoism. Chen Jingyuan, a famous Taoist scholar and master in Cheng Nan in the Northern Song Dynasty, is the second generation descendant of Huashan School (Chen Tuan Road). In addition, Zhong Zhang, a famous prophet in Ming Dynasty and a native of Linchuan, was Liu Bowen's teacher and was regarded as the founder of Taoist Tinpot School.
