Famous figures during the Warring States Period

1. Bian Que (407 BC - 310 BC), surnamed Ji, Qin family, named Sui, courtesy name Yue, also known as Lu Yi, was a famous doctor in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, he was born in Zheng, Bohai County (now Renqiu City, Cangzhou City, Hebei Province). Because of his superb medical skills, he was considered a miracle doctor, so people at that time called him by the name of "Bian Que", the miracle doctor of the Yellow Emperor in ancient mythology.

2. Mencius (approximately 372 BC - 289 BC), a thinker, politician, and educator during the Warring States Period, a representative of the Confucian School of Simi and Mencius; named Ke, courtesy name Ziyu, Zou of the State of Lu (now southeast of Zouxian County, Shandong Province). He is considered the successor of Confucius's teachings and is known as the "Senior Sage".

3. Qu Yuan (340 BC - 278 BC) was a native of the Chu State during the Warring States Period. His surname was Mi, his family name was Qu, his given name was Ping, his courtesy name was Yuan, and his character was Xing; he was also mentioned in "Li Sao" as saying : "The name Yu is Zhengzexi, and the courtesy name is Lingjun."

4. Zhuangzi was a great thinker, philosopher, and writer in my country’s pre-Qin period. During the Warring States Period, a native of Meng, Song Dynasty (now Mengcheng County, Anhui), was the main founder of Taoism. Together with Laozi, the founder of Taoism, they are called "Laozi and Zhuangzi". Their philosophical system of thought is respected as "Laozi and Zhuangzi philosophy" by the academic circle of thought.

5. Shang Yang, a politician during the Warring States Period and a representative of Legalism, also known as Gongsun Yang and Wei Yang, was a native of Wei State (now Puyang, Henan Province). He was born in about 390 BC and died in BC 338 years. Shang Yang is a descendant of the declining nobles during the Warring States Period.
