The Preface to Lanting, handed down from later generations, was copied after the Tang Dynasty, and the charm of pen and ink gradually lost its original traces, but it can also reflect the style and characteristics of Wang Xizhi's calligraphy to a certain extent, which can be regarded as one of the models for learning calligraphy. Since the Song Dynasty, the Lanting Pavilion in Ding Wu Ben has received special attention. Yuan Zhao Mengfu once wrote an inscription after fixing Wu's manuscript: "The right army is the most storyteller in ancient and modern times, the most critic of the right army's book, and the most engraver."
