Why did Li Yu become emperor?

First, people who don't want to be emperors should be emperors.

There are countless people in the world who want to be emperors but can't be emperors. There should be some who didn't want to be emperors but became emperors. Li Yu, Queen of Southern Tang Dynasty, is one of them.

Li Yu, born on Qixi Festival in 937 AD, died on Qixi Festival in 978 AD and lived for 42 years.

Li Yu was originally named Jia Cong, and was renamed Li Yu after he acceded to the throne. He was the last emperor of the Southern Tang Dynasty and was called Li Houzhu. It is said that Li Yusheng has a strange appearance, broad forehead and cheeks, parallel teeth and heavy pupils. Cleaning teeth means that his two front teeth are connected together, and double pupil means that he has two pupils in one eye, so Li Yu's word is "heavy and light". Famous figures with double eyes in history include Xiang Yu and Shun. In A Dream of Red Mansions, it is said that "Yu Ji hates the heavy pupil", and the heavy pupil here refers to Xiang Yu.

Li Yu doesn't want to be an emperor, he just wants to be a romantic genius.

Li Yu is an absolute romantic genius. He is a calligrapher, good at painting and proficient in melody. The tone of "being happy" was initiated by his late master. About 80% of his calligraphy is under Liu Gongquan's tutelage, and his poems have certain attainments, especially his achievements in ci.

He doesn't want to be emperor, and he shouldn't be emperor. He is the sixth son of Li Jing, the master of the Southern Tang Dynasty. By rights, it shouldn't be his turn. His first brother wanted to be emperor most, but he did so badly that he committed suicide by some means. Other brothers also seem to have foresight and don't want to be the king of national subjugation, so they all act before they act, and kill early. With all five brothers gone, Li Yu had to bite the bullet and become emperor. The world says that Li Yu is a gifted scholar, but he can't be an emperor, and he has no talent to be an emperor. In fact, it's not that he has no talent, but that he doesn't want to be a good emperor. He just doesn't want to be tired. "Sneer at Qin Huang's long knowledge and quietly patrol Ji Man when suffering." He doesn't want to look down on the world like Qin Shihuang and Zhou Muwang, but he is exhausted. What's more, the Southern Tang Dynasty was already tottering, and even if it was put into the hands of many dissenting Confucian Hanwu, it would be lawless!

When Li Yu ascended the throne, the Southern Tang Dynasty was already a vassal state of the Song Dynasty. In order to show loyalty, he cut off the country name and called himself "the Lord of the South of the Yangtze River". The treasury is empty, and he collects a lot of property every year to pay tribute to the Song Dynasty. Faced with the pressure of the Song Dynasty, he resigned himself to his fate and tried to steal peace, hoping that it would drag on day by day.

Li Yu is not a heartless person like Dou. He also felt bitterness, pain and humiliation. What can he do? So he indulged in debauchery and sought spiritual comfort in warm and fragrant nephrite. During this period, his ci mainly wrote about court life and love between men and women, or wrote about parting lovesickness, borrowing scenery to express feelings. Such as "Qing Ping Le":

Since leaving, spring has passed halfway, and the scenery in my eyes has swept to a broken heart. The order of autumn may be like snow in the snow, brush it off and then flow down full.

Hongyan has flown back, the journey is far away, and the dream is hard to come true. The sadness of parting is like weeds in spring, which go further and further.

During this time, he was immersed in his love for Zhou Zhou, and maybe he was very happy.

Second, the love between Li Yu and Zhou Fu.

Li Yu's queens vary in size. There are Qiang in Da Zhou, Xiao Yin and Wei in Xiao Zhou, all of whom are daughters of Da Situ in Zhou Zong. Both sisters are Qiantang beauties. Zhou Zong was an important official in the Southern Tang Dynasty, and E Huang often went to court with his father. She is a talented woman of five generations, with beautiful appearance, beautiful melody, good singing and dancing, comprehensive history and wonderful chess playing. Li Jing loved her so much that she decided to let her marry Li Yu. E Huang married Li Yu at the age of 19. After Li Yu ascended the throne, he was made queen.

E Huang is a talented musician, especially good at playing the pipa. Just because she recovered her famous colorful feathers, she can really be called a great musician. Caiyu was originally a French music introduced from Xiliang. After being polished by Li Longji, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, it became a magnificent dance music. Yang Guifei was able to gather Xuanzong's three thousand favorites in one year, not only because she was born with beauty, but also because she was best at dancing colorful feathers. Only after the Anshi Rebellion, the "colorful feather" was lost, and in the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, only the broken music was preserved. At that time, some court musicians and folk musicians tried to repair it, but failed. After Li Yu got the residual spectrum, he and he "corrected the mistakes, removed the complexity, filled the gaps, and then became more and more audible." After the music score was restored, the two choreographed according to the music and made a group dance of clothes and feathers. They also organized a teaching studio called Gong E, which was taught by E Huang himself. Since then, E Huang often held large-scale songs and dances in the palace.

Li Yu's "Jade House in Spring" recorded this matter:

At the beginning of the evening makeup, there is snow, and the spring palace is filed. Silk policy blew off the water cloud sword and pressed the garment song again.

Who smells better in the wind, drunk. When I come back, I will use a candle as a red flower until the horseshoe in jathyapple becomes clear.

The first part of this word describes the grand occasion of spring palace singing and dancing, and the second part describes the unfinished scene after the singing and dancing. The couple reveled in the paradise of art.

E Huang nature naive, lively and feminine, in Li Yu's "a welcome bead" wrote:

Just after the evening makeup, please pay attention to a few. Show people a lilac, sing a clear song, and temporarily lead the cherry to break.

The sleeves of Luohu are still black, and the cup is deeply swirled by the fragrant mash. Embroidered bed leans on jiao without that, chewing red velvet and laughing.

"Chew red velvet and laugh at Tan Lang", "red velvet" is a red carpet, and "Tan Lang" should be Li Yu himself. Pan An was the most famous handsome man in ancient China, nicknamed "Tan Nu", so later generations called this man "Tan Lang" loved by women. E Huang pulled out some red wool on the blanket, chewed it in his mouth, and spat at Li Yu with a smile. Really naughty, very cute!

Li Yuhe and E Huang are also arranged marriages, but they are all very successful arranged marriages. This is because Jing Li has a good eye. If Li Yu didn't become emperor, imagine how happy it would be to live with such a talented woman, handsome man and beautiful woman.

The happiness of Li Yu and E Huang together may dilute the pain and humiliation, but their happiness does not last long.

Li Yu reigned for four years, and E Huang was seriously ill and was ill in bed. Their four-year-old son is very filial. Seeing that his mother was ill, he also learned to go to the Buddhist temple to pray and wish her a speedy recovery. Unexpectedly, because he was young and careless, he fell from a high chair and died. The death of Aiko made E Huang very sad, and his condition deteriorated.

It was during E Huang's illness. Li Yu and his sister Zhou Wei fell in love, and their love has been criticized by later generations. However, we may not be able to look at the ancients with the eyes of modern people, or speculate on the love of an emperor with the mentality of ordinary people. We don't know what happened at that time to promote their love. But what is certain is that his love for E Huang is true, and his love for Zhou Wei is also true, and his favorite should be his sister E Huang.

At that time, E Huang was very ill and couldn't stand the slightest stimulation. The love between Li Yu and Zhou Xiao can only be carried out in secret. Li Yu's Bodhisattva Man describes his romantic and difficult tryst with Zhou Xiao;

The bright moon is dark and foggy. It's good to go to the waves today! Step by step, step by step, holding golden shoes.

See you at the south bank of the gallery, always shivering. It's hard for slaves to come out, but you can be merciful.

But then E Huang learned about it. Lu You's Biography of Southern Tang Dynasty said: "Or post-illness, he entered the palace a few weeks later. When I saw it later, I was surprised and said,' When will you come? A few weeks later, I was still young and didn't know the suspect. I said,' It's been several days. If you are angry in the future, don't die of extroversion. After his release, the Lord mourned and covered his tracks. That is to say, E Huang was sick in bed and suddenly saw his sister in front of the bed from behind his tent. He was surprised and asked, "When did my sister come?" Innocent Zhou Wei replied without thinking: "I have been here for a few days." Real Madrid understands everything. She became introverted and didn't speak until she died.

When E Huang died, Li Yu was very sad. Maybe there is guilt in that sadness. He is thin and straight and needs to walk with crutches. He wrote a long eulogy to commemorate it and called himself "Yu widower". "Yesterday my new faint, yan also. The media didn't break their word and didn't go against their reports. Go back to your sister and invite you to the end. Salt will help you. He is United and a way to plan ahead. Hold your hand and grow old with your son. Anyway, I won't tell you in the end. Hey! " "Hold your hand and grow old with your son." This sentence comes from here, but it's a pity that the person who wrote it can't grow old with the person he loves.

Li Yu wrote many poems in memory of E Huang. Even after many years of E Huang's death, Li Yu was still moved by some things and couldn't control himself.

In the third year after E Huang's death, Li Yuli made Zhou Wei the queen, namely Zhou Xiao. Xiao Zhou is also very beautiful. Contrary to Da Zhou's lively personality, Xiao Zhou is quiet and dignified. Interestingly, Shun was born a heavy pupil. He married two sisters, E Huang and Nv Ying. Li Yu, who happened to have a heavy pupil, also married a pair of sisters. His first wife was also named E Huang.

When the old man left, the new man came again, but in terms of emotion and life interest, it was not as grand as it was in E Huang.

Third, national subjugation made a great poet.

In 975, Song and wuyue joined hands to break Jinling. Li Yu thought about self-immolation, but he didn't, so he led a group of civil and military officials and relatives to surrender. In order to show the sincerity of surrender, he also surrendered shirtless. After the fall of Li Yu, he was captured and sent to Bianjing, where he was ordered to wait.

Li Yu changed from an emperor to a prisoner. The humiliating life, the deep pain of national subjugation, the reminiscence of the past, and "Lacrimosa" (Wang's Record) made his achievements in Ci greatly exceed the previous period. The greatest words in his life were produced at this time.

Corrupted array:

Over the past 40 years, my motherland has been covered with mountains and rivers for three thousand miles. Long Ta in Fengge, a cigarette in Yushu Qiongzhi. I've known him several times.

Once I was classified as a minister, I bent down and took time. The most hasty day is to resign from the temple, and the teaching workshop is still playing a farewell song. Tears for Gong E.

Young mermaid:

When is the spring flower and autumn moon, how much is known about the past. The small building was easterly again last night, and the old country could not bear to look back on the moon.

Carved fences and jade bricks should still exist, but Zhu Yan changed them. Ask how much sorrow you can have, just like a river flowing eastward.

One of "Night Scare (Welcome to Joy)":

Hualin thanked Chunhong and hurried away, but the cold rain came early and the wind came late.

Cochineal tears, stay drunk, when heavy. Naturally, people hate water when they grow up.

The second part of the article (welcome);

Alone in the west wing, the moon is like a hook. Lonely phoenix tree deep courtyard locks clear autumn.

Cutting is still messy, which is parting from sorrow. It's not just the general taste.

It's really sad that a romantic genius who doesn't want to be an emperor has unfortunately become an emperor. It may be a blessing for China's literature to die as emperor, but what it left to the world was a swan song of crying to death. There is a saying that "the country is unfortunate, and the poet is lucky. When it encounters vicissitudes, it will only make a difference" (Xiong's "Ancient and Modern Thorns"). Speaking of vicissitudes of life, there may be no national subjugation, and there will be no later Li Yu.

Li Yu's last words, Langtaosha, kill him. In 978 AD, Chinese Valentine's Day, Li Yu's 42nd birthday, Li Yu wrote this poem which has been passed down through the ages:

The rain outside the curtain is gurgling, and the spring is fading. Allred-rochow is too cold to stand. I don't know if I am a dream guest, but I am insatiable in one day.

Don't lean against the fence alone, it is infinite, and it is easier to see when you are away. Running water is gone, and spring is gone.

This first word spread to Zhao Guangyi and Song Taizong. Zhao Guangyi was furious with the feelings of home and country in the word, so he gave Li Yu royal wine and put the medicine in the wine. That night, Li Yu died. Li Yu committed suicide a few weeks after his death.

Li Yu was buried in Mangshan Mountain, namely North Mangshan Mountain, which always refers to the place where people are buried after death in China.

Historical records record "Li Yu, Ren Xiao." As the monarch of a country, Li Houzhu loves his people as a son. During his reign, he reduced taxes and relaxed punishment, which was deeply loved by the people. Therefore, the news of Li Yu's death reached his hometown in the Southern Tang Dynasty, and the people wept for him and even took the initiative to Dai Xiao for him. Li Yu, an emperor who doesn't want to be, deserves it!
