Dharma Realm The temple is located at the east foot of Lingyun Mountain and is a famous Buddhist holy place in Songming County. Historical data records that Dharma Realm Temple was built between 936 and 947 AD. In the 1950s, people confused Buddhist culture with feudal superstitious activities and blindly destroyed temples and other Buddhist facilities. As a result, Dharmajie Temple was severely damaged, the houses collapsed, and all the Buddha statues were lost, leaving only ruins. The Dharmajie Temple we see now was rebuilt on the site in 1989. Although it is not the original Dharmajie Temple, it is still a Buddhist holy place in people's hearts and a symbol of people's faith.
There are three gates in Fajie Temple***, namely the One-day Gate, the Two-tian Gate and the Three-day Gate. After passing the Three-day Gate, you enter the temple area of ??Fajie Temple. There is a temple about 50 meters away. There are many temples such as the Main Hall, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Hall, Yuelao Temple, Sanqing Temple, Yaowang Temple, and Guanyin Temple. In these temples, there are kind-faced Bodhisattvas, majestic four heavenly kings, strong and brave warriors, Arhats with different expressions and the smiling Maitreya Buddha... In the main hall, there are three solemn Tathagata Buddhas on the front. He is tall and solemn. It makes people look up; on the back of Tathagata is a Thousand-Armed Avalokitesvara. She has hundreds of hands and many faces with different expressions. She really deserves the title of "Thousand-Armed Avalokitesvara". There are five hundred Arhats with different looks on the surrounding walls, each with vivid expressions, including the powerful Arhat with super long legs, the powerful Arhat subduing the dragon, and the Arhat with long hands reaching to the roof. Visitors are all amazed by this lifelike colorful sculpture. What impressed me the most was the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Hall. It seems to be no different from the others. However, if you know the legend of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, you may not think so. Legend has it that Ksitigarbha could have become a Buddha very early, but he refused. He said such shocking words, "I swear I will not become a Buddha until the hell on earth is empty!" It is this sense of justice that has the world in mind, which makes I grew to admire him.
In addition to being a famous Buddhist holy place, Dharmajie Temple is also a good place for leisure and exercise. Near the back door of Dharmajie Temple, there is a road leading directly to the top of the mountain, with more than 1,700 steps in one go. As you climb the steps, you can hear the melodious sound of bells in the distance. Along the way, only the sound of breathing and the rustling of leaves are all around you. Birds and insects live in the mountains. A breeze blows and the leaves rustle. Birds and insects play a "natural symphony" together. The birds are singing squeakingly, their wings are flapping in rhythm, and the insects are chirping in harmony. But if you climb the mountain alone in the evening, it will be a bit scary for the timid. If someone jumped out to scare him at this time, hehe, he would probably roll down the stairs. After climbing the stairs, there is a mountain road with only red soil. If you want to see better scenery, you must climb along this mountain road to the top of the mountain. Here you can have a bird's eye view of the panoramic view of Songming. On sunny days, you can only use Beautiful to describe it.
Dharmajie Temple is also a place for children to play. After climbing the mountain, children can feed turtles and goldfish in the pond in front of the Main Hall. On the right side of the Main Hall, there is a cement floor of about 50 square meters with various fitness equipment. Children often regard this as a Have a lot of fun in your own playground. Next to the fitness equipment, there is a courtyard for people to rest. There is a tall rockery in the courtyard, and a clear spring water flows down from the mountain and flows down through the courtyard. Next to the rockery is a pavilion made of pure wood, which exudes a charming wood fragrance. The courtyard is full of flowers and plants, and the people sitting here are chatting and laughing, looking at the beautiful scenery and breathing the fresh air, as if they have arrived in a fairyland on earth.
Dharmajie Temple, a Buddhist holy place, is also a good place for leisure and exercise. We must care for it like we care for our own eyes.
