Beitang Book Tide is the earliest masterpiece of its kind in existence. This kind of books began with the Imperial Catalogue compiled by Wei Wendi, Liu Shao and Wang Xiang in the Three Kingdoms period. After Wei and Jin Dynasties, dynasties used their advantages of parallelism and easy reading to organize human and material resources to search government books for many times, forming a huge system, but today, most books have been lost.
Bei Tang's calligraphy is famous for its early completion and rich collection of materials. It is also known as the "Four Great Books" in the Tang Dynasty with Yi Wen Zhi Ji, Bai Juyi Ji, Song Kong Chuan Bai's Six Postscripts, and Xu Jian Chu Xue Ji.
Yu Shinan (July 1 1, 558-638) was born in Cixi (now Guanhaiwei Town, Cixi City, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province), the son of Li Yu, the prince of the Chen Dynasty, the brother of Yu Shiqi, the assistant minister of the Sui Dynasty, and one of the "Twenty-four outstanding figures of Lingyange Pavilion". Politicians, calligraphers, writers and poets from the Southern and Northern Dynasties to the Sui and Tang Dynasties.
Yu Shinan is quiet by nature and persistent in learning. Chen, two generations of Sui Dynasty, was an official worshiper of a doctor and lived in a shed. After the demise of the Sui Dynasty, he attached himself to Dou Jiande, King of the Xia Dynasty, and was awarded assistant minister of the Yellow Gate. After the destruction of Dou Jiande by the King of Qin, Yu Shinan was introduced to join the Qin army as a clerk and a bachelor of cabinet, and Fang and others became one of the "eighteen bachelors".
Chapters of this book:
Bei Tang's booklets are divided into 19 departments, including emperor, empress, politics, criminal law, title, official system, etiquette, art, music, martial arts, clothes, ornaments, costumes, boats, cars, wine, food, day, year and place. Subordinate departments are classified into 852 categories, and the categories are slightly miscellaneous.
However, among the existing books, this book was written very early, and all the collected materials were collected from ancient books before the Sui Dynasty, and quite a few of them have not yet been circulated, so its literature value is quite high, especially in compiling and publishing ancient books. It should be said that it is a good thing for academic circles and Jiahui Shilin to photocopy this book by Xianxueyuan Publishing House.
