Longquan Academy Quanzhou Academy

Hong Tianxin was founded in the Ming Dynasty (1506- 152 1). Hong Tianxin, known as Tianxia, was born in Jinjiang from Zhengde (1506- 152 1 year) to Jiajing (1522- 1566). Tian Xin learned Yi, and he was a famous Confucian who wrote Tao Te Ching at that time. (See "Quanzhou People Directory Hong Tianxin")

Hong Tianxin lost in the examination room, lost his wife and children in middle age, and lost confidence in the world. During Zheng De's years, he hid in the grass temple and founded an academy in the grass temple to give lectures. Because there is a cliff one foot square in the right boulder of Cao An Temple, it is engraved with the Chinese character "Longquan", hence the name "Longquan Academy". (See Quanzhou Temple Cao An)

At the beginning of Jiajing (1522- 1566), there were eighteen scholars in Quanzhou who lived in Longquan Academy in Cao An and studied hard. Later, all eighteen gave them a ride, leaving a story of eighteen wise men studying in Cao An. 1938, it was recorded when Master Hongyi wrote "The Stone of Cao Xing 'an". To this end, Master Hongyi also left a pair of woodcut couplets on both sides of the Mani Light Buddha statue: "The stone wall is said to be the shadow of the Buddha, and the history is recorded here, and famous people come forth in large numbers." (See Hongyi, the master of Quanzhou People's List, and Cao An, Quanzhou Temple)
