How to Improve the Effectiveness of Calligraphy Classroom Teaching in Primary Schools

Calligraphy contains artistic ideas and is a treasure of China traditional culture. It makes thought span time and space in a graceful form and becomes an important carrier of cultural inheritance in the evolution of human civilization. If a person can write beautiful words in his student days, he will undoubtedly have a business card to be proud of and used for life, and grow into a modern person with cultural background. Calligraphy education is an important part of comprehensive quality education in primary schools. School is the cradle of calligraphy education. As the first teacher of primary school students' calligraphy, we should try our best to lead students to learn calligraphy well and inherit the traditional culture of the motherland. In recent years, we have carried out a series of colorful calligraphy education activities through the practical research of the topic "Practical research on calligraphy education in primary schools in mountainous areas". Among them, through the communication and practice with many backbone calligraphers and the observation of calligraphy teaching many times, I summed up some effective methods to improve the effectiveness of calligraphy classroom teaching in primary schools.

1. Arouse interest in ...

As we all know, interest is the best teacher in the process of calligraphy teaching for primary school students, and stimulating students' interest in learning is the most important thing. Teachers should aim at students' long-term development according to their age characteristics, cultivate students' interest in learning calligraphy and let them enjoy it.

Writing is a boring thing. To maintain students' interest in writing, we need to constantly add some new things from the teaching content and form in the boring and monotonous writing activities. In calligraphy teaching, teachers should often tell students some popular, vivid and interesting stories to stimulate students' interest in learning. For example, introduce the story of calligrapher's diligent study and practice, the history of calligraphy development, the dynamics of calligraphy and the significance of learning calligraphy to students. Let students know that learning calligraphy well will bring great convenience and fun to their future study, life and work. At the same time, some easy-to-understand writing essentials can be inserted appropriately, so that students can quickly master the writing skills of some strokes. I remember that at a seminar on calligraphy, the teaching theme was "Walking Son". When Mr. Wang was writing the model book Zouzi, he edited the writing essentials: "Writing Zouzi is like going down stairs, first taking a short flat road, then going down a few stairs, then taking a flat road, then going down stairs, and then taking a flat road after going down stairs." After what Mr. Wang said, the students all found it very interesting. They practiced carefully according to the main points and soon mastered the writing method of Zouzi. The students unconsciously learned knowledge in a relaxed and happy atmosphere.

Define your goals.

Any learning starts from bit by bit, and every little makes a mickle, especially calligraphy. In calligraphy teaching, writing training should not be fast and demanding, but should pursue practical results, first seeking good, then seeking proficiency, and finally seeking fast, so as to achieve the goal of writing well and quickly. How to seek goodness? First, we should strive for the best from the few, strive for the best from the slow, and practice seriously. The so-called step by step, writing a word well is a big step forward, otherwise you have written dozens of words and not written a word well, and the progress is equal to zero or even retrogression, because repetition is bad rather than good. Teachers should help students overcome their eagerness and complacency, get rid of the psychology of quick success and instant benefit, and let students concentrate on practicing every word.

3. Pay attention to temporary posts

To learn calligraphy, you should have a good habit of sticking to the post. There are many in Copybook for calligraphy. In the process of choosing paste, students should never be fickle. If they don't learn well, they will change a copybook, so they will only learn one copybook and throw it away, and finally they will learn nothing. In teaching, teachers should adhere to the teaching methods of selecting posts, reading posts, issuing papers, requiring students to persevere and specializing in one post, so that students can master the correct learning methods and ensure that students do not take detours in the process of learning books. In addition, teachers should guide students to read the post: 1 to find out the main similarities and differences of the characters in the post; 2. Observe the main rules of glyph structure; 3. Find out the difference between the same strokes of the characters in the post; 4. Carefully observe the start, line, turn and close of each stroke; 5. Analyze and summarize the stroke speed. By reading posts like this, students can develop the habit of comprehensive and orderly observation from the whole to the part, from the outline to the details.

Prompt encouragement

Encouragement is a good motivation for learning. In calligraphy teaching, there are mainly the following ways to encourage: First, encourage at any time in class. When students practice, the teacher keeps patrolling, keeps abreast of students' writing situation, gives timely guidance when problems are found, and gives timely affirmation and praise when correct writing posture, correct writing method and beautiful writing style are found. Second, encourage homework in time. Teachers comment on students' homework in time, make face-to-face comments as much as possible, affirm students' progress in time, and select excellent homework to show in class. Third, fully encourage calligraphy activities. Taking advantage of the opportunity of the calligraphy exhibition held by the school every semester, all students are required to participate, as many students' works are exhibited and prizes are awarded, and prizes and certificates are awarded to students in time, which greatly encourages students' enthusiasm for practicing calligraphy. The fourth is to formulate calligraphy rating standards in time to stimulate students' enthusiasm and persistence in learning calligraphy.

Use what you have learned.

Correctly handling the relationship between learning and using is also a big problem in calligraphy teaching. If you don't use it or can't use it, you can't promote the learning effect. Through the application, let students understand the shortcomings and problems of temporary learning, urge students to re-understand the model words when posting, and increase the motivation and purpose of learning calligraphy. If students write in the same way when practicing Chinese characters, but in the practical application of homework and letter writing, learning and application are not integrated, so practicing Chinese characters will not fundamentally change the face of Chinese characters and their learning will not be solid. In teaching, only by constantly encouraging students to apply what they have learned can they gradually change their original bad writing habits and improve their overall calligraphy level.

There are still many difficulties in our calligraphy teaching. We need teachers to study the laws of calligraphy education, actively explore effective calligraphy teaching models and methods, and strive to build a brand of calligraphy education to make calligraphy education more effective.
