Liu's former residence was abandoned in Guangxu period and maintained as a warehouse in Yuan Shikai period. After occupied by the Japanese army during the Japanese Puppet War, it was used as the office of the Japanese gendarmerie, and 1939 was the arsenal and warehouse of the Puppet Army. In the early days of liberation, it was used as a worker's dormitory in a factory. 1958, Liu Yong's former residence was allocated to a worker. After several changes of hands, it has become what it is now! In 2009, the Cultural Relics Bureau planned to repair this cultural relic, but it didn't start to repair it until 20 12, and it was basically repaired by the end of 20 13, and it was not opened to the public.
When I went to Beijing to study on 1968, I went to see Liu's former residence on purpose. It's a pity that I didn't take pictures that year. At that time, there was a photo studio nearby, and I had no money to take pictures! I am only 19 years old. I hope that Liu Yong's former residence will be opened to the outside world to build a museum, and I also hope that the old hutongs in Beijing will be passed down from generation to generation.
