A glimpse of Japanese folk calligraphy (3)

Speaking of Japanese folk calligraphy, it also has its unique characteristics, that is, "folk flavor." Besides Chinese classical poems, there are also classical poems from China and other countries. But also there are nonstandard words, writing methods, contents and rules. Everything is full of rich imagination and arbitrariness.

The work is readable and unreadable, complete and incomplete. The big characters have no boundaries, and the small characters are vague. Some works overemphasize the visual impact, and the ink is dripping, like drunkards vomiting and crazy people shouting, which surprises the audience. These, to tell the truth, may also be divorced from what we think of as calligraphy art and recognized appreciation ability. In fact, in Japan, "calligraphy" is not called "calligraphy" but "calligraphy". In my opinion, it may be "lawless" because it is not controlled by "law"

It should be said that Japan is a country with strict rules, emphasizing being a man, doing things carefully and accurately, and paying attention to a lot. Judging from the goods in its manufacturing industry, it has to be admitted. However, few of his "calligraphy" or "calligraphy" works are exquisite in strokes and beautiful in lines, and most of them give people a barren and random state.

Of course, we have to admit that the aesthetic standards of China and Japan are different and we can't look at them with our eyes. Art is originally "different people have different opinions", and it is not as simple as one plus one equals two. We also look at the problem from our own perspective. But in any case, Japanese folk calligraphy has its own characteristics and characteristics. There is a saying that "what is national is the world's". For Japanese folk calligraphy, this is enough.
