Brief introduction of Hu Zhiping's art

Calligrapher Hu Zhiping, whose ancestral home is Shandong, is a doctor of calligraphy in Zhejiang University. He studied under Professor Chen Zhenlian and was a visiting scholar in Peking University. He studied in Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts (now China Academy of Fine Arts), majoring in calligraphy, painting and seal cutting. He is currently the vice chairman and deputy secretary general of Heilongjiang Calligraphers Association, the executive deputy editor of Calligraphy Appreciation, a member of Xiling Printing Society, a member of China Calligraphers Association (a member of the press and publication working committee of China Calligraphers Association), a researcher of Sha Menghai Painting and Calligraphy Institute, and a director of the Cultural Communication Branch of Heilongjiang European and American Alumni Association. He is the only doctor of calligraphy introduced from Heilongjiang Province.

He has been engaged in calligraphy creation, theory and teaching for many years, published more than ten books, and undertaken many scientific research projects at or above the provincial level. His works have participated in many exhibitions at home and abroad, and have been collected by Xi 'an Beilin Museum, Sha Menghai Painting and Calligraphy Institute, National Stadium (Bird's Nest), Heilongjiang Provincial Museum and many foreign embassies. His works were collected by former British Prime Minister Blair and British Minister of Education Johnson, and presented as gifts by the Heilongjiang provincial government to institutions in Hong Kong and Macao and diplomatic envoys abroad.
