Chinese painting meticulous painting steps

Generally, meticulous painting requires several steps to complete;

The first step is a draft, which is to use a pen to draft, and generally there is no requirement for paper.

The second step is to pass the draft, which is to place the draft on the table, cover it with a layer of cooked rice paper, and use an outline pen to draw the draft on the rice paper.

The third step is rendering, which is to use ink on the painted draft to express the light and dark of the picture. The method is to use two larger pens, one dipped in ink and one dipped in water, and touch first. The ink is spread with water before it dries, creating a natural transition.

The fourth step is similar to the rendering step, but it uses traditional Chinese painting pigments. In order to make the color more uniform and thick, it usually needs to be done multiple times. There is a saying of "three alum and nine dyes". The last step is to draw lines. During the rendering and dyeing process, the original lines may be covered by color, and the lines must be drawn again.
