Pan Zhulan's Personal Contribution

Mr. Pan Zhulan is a famous contemporary calligrapher and seal engraver. Called "the dominant old calligrapher" by China Calligraphers Association, he represents the highest level of calligraphy in China today and deserves to be called China Calligrapher. He began to create calligraphy and painting seals as early as 16 years old. 1947 co-founded Fuzhou Jinshi Calligraphy and Painting Society with Hao Tong * * *, which greatly promoted the development of Fuzhou calligraphy and painting art. After liberation, its artistic attainments became more and more exquisite and its achievements were outstanding, and it was well-known at home and abroad. 1953 joined China Jinshi Seal Carving Research Association (Shanghai), 1996 held his first personal painting and calligraphy exhibition in May. He has been engaged in painting and calligraphy for more than 80 years, leaving countless fine works, which are the essence of the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation. Mr. Pan Zhulan made great contributions to the prosperity and development of calligraphy and painting in China in the 20th century.
