1. Hold the pen correctly. (I have always thought that I hold the pen very standardly, but in fact it is not correct enough. If I hold the pen incorrectly, the force I use with the pen will be even more wrong.) 2. The force used when using the pen must be correct. Move your wrist horizontally and hook your index finger vertically. When writing horizontally or vertically, do not use force with your thumb. It only serves to assist in holding the pen. Focus on pressing hard under the index finger. (It will take about three weeks to correct this point before you can use natural force.) 3. Don’t hold the pen too hard, as long as it can rotate the pen. 4. The characters should be written in an open manner, and only one stroke of each character should be highlighted. 5. Study the size of the radicals of the characters, their position, and the length of each stroke. That is the structure of regular script characters (this is the rule for writing good characters and must be remembered carefully.)
