Legend has it that one year in the last century, Japanese scholars went to China to study and inspect China culture. Accompanied by the tour guide, they climbed Mount Tai and were attracted by the stone tablet engraved with the word "Insect II". Several Japanese scholars who are proficient in Chinese really can't guess what "Bug II" means. A group of people had a heated discussion around the word "Bug 2", and finally they didn't get a satisfactory answer. The person who solved this puzzle is Guo Moruo.
Once he climbed Mount Tai, some scholars asked what "Bug II" meant. After reading it for a long time, Guo Moruo added two strokes to the word "Worm II" by hand, and it became the word "romantic". Guo Moruo said with a smile, this is the meaning of "romance", which makes everyone fully understand the meaning of these two words. According to historical records, the word "Insect II" was carved by Liu Tinggui, a famous scholar in Jinan, and his friends when they visited Mount Tai in the 25th year of Guangxu (1899).
"Boundless romantic moon" is an idiom, which means that the scenery is beautiful, "boundless" means "ten points" and "romantic moon" means "the scenery is gone". In the Song Dynasty, Zhu's "The Portrait of Mr. Liu" said that "the moon is boundless and the grass is green", which also depicts this beautiful scenery. Therefore, someone wrote the words "the moon is boundless" when they wrote an inscription, which is a fairly regular way of writing. A gifted scholar wouldn't write like this.
Therefore, the word "Bug II" appeared, and it is difficult for future generations to guess.
