My hobbies
I like reading and painting, because these two hobbies can bring me a lot of happiness. Reading allows me to swim in the ocean of knowledge and constantly gain the power of knowledge; while painting allows me to express my feelings on paper, regulate nervous nerves, and resolve anger and sorrow.
For me, painting is a mood reliever. I remember one time I had a quarrel with my classmates, and I felt depressed all the time. After I got home from school, I had no intention of doing my homework, and I couldn't read a book. At this time, I thought of drawing. I found paper and pen. What should I draw? I thought about painting a "prairie beauty". After I finished the painting, I began to appreciate myself. Looking at the vast and open prairie, I felt like I was there, and my mood immediately improved.
But what I like most is reading. Popular science books account for most of my bookcases, because I like popular science knowledge the most, followed by literature. You can learn a lot from reading books, and it’s also a good way for me to kill boredom. I remember once I read in a book the answer to why rainbows always appear when the sky clears after the rain. It was only then that I understood the answer when I was in second grade. It turns out that rainbows are formed by the refraction of sunlight on tiny water droplets that have not dispersed. It's not that the rainbow is a real colorful bridge as I knew before. This allowed me to add new scientific knowledge. Not only do I love reading, I also like to tell my classmates what I have learned and let them share their knowledge.
