As a parent, what do I think of the matter that children enroll in interest classes?

My son Ozawa is in the fourth grade this year, and his nature is lively and active.

His head teacher is a serious and responsible Chinese teacher. He has asked my son many times about "too active" classes since he first entered school.

The teacher said that he was smart, learned things quickly, and even drew inferences from others, but he was too active and expressive, which led him to disobey classroom discipline.

Specifically, you will answer loudly without raising your hand in class, and there will be conflicts with your classmates after class. The classmates complained to her, as did other subjects in the class.

The man said that if he didn't listen to the teacher's instruction, he just went home. I said that he, too, was trained and coaxed. At that time, he would say that he knew, remembered and acted sincerely. When I got to school, I let myself go again. Do you think he forgot? No, he has a good memory, unlike ordinary people. It's just that oil and salt don't go in.

I know his personality has little to do with my busy work and company, but I really can't let go of my work. After talking to the teacher several times, she suggested that I go to the Children's Palace to give Ozawa interest classes such as Chinese painting and calligraphy, which can calm him down, gradually cultivate his sentiment and cultivate his patience.

So from the second grade of primary school, I enrolled him in calligraphy classes in the Children's Palace, and he studied hard and soft pens together. I sent him for half a day every weekend and studied Chinese painting for half a year. I don't know if the aesthetic has improved, but the handwriting has become serious and beautiful. But the original intention was never achieved.

First of all, not long after he went, he began to give me advice. I don't want to learn calligraphy class, but want to transfer to robot science experimental class. He is naughty and fearless. I'm afraid he will tear down the house through research, so I naturally disagree. Later, I went to learn chess. It is said that studying is good, but he likes to be competitive. If he wins, everyone will be happy. Once he loses, he can't accept it (I didn't teach this well). Besides, any interest class in competitive sports will inevitably be graded and tested in the end. I don't want him to be involved in the whirlpool of grading. So I ran aground.

Slowly, the calligraphy teacher in the Children's Palace also changed. The first teacher is older, but the second calligraphy teacher writes beautifully, but has less experience in teaching children.

When I went to pick him up, I was often caught by the teacher and scolded him for a long time, which was more diligent than the teacher complaining at school. It is said that he especially incites other children's emotions in class, and he is simply a vicious leader. If you don't hold him down for a while, you'll make the whole class quarrel. Finally, I really can't control your children. Do you want to consider changing his shift?

Just when he is free after class, the parents of other students can tease me for a long time. For example, a parent told me that you are Ozawa's parents. Your children are really interesting. Last time you came to pick him up late, the teacher told him not to leave after school and asked your mother to stay and talk to me. As a result, when he saw you arrive, he picked up his schoolbag and ran away.

Wait, the list goes on.

what can I do? I was so worried. Later, one of my sisters went to work in an appointment reading room. Through her, I realized that there was also an institution specializing in teaching reading classes.

My sister asked me to take Ozawa to the audition class first.

When I arrived at the reservation room, my first intuitive feeling was that the learning atmosphere here was much better than the noisy Children's Palace. The children here are in a relatively stable mood, and I haven't seen any quarrels between them.

After listening to the class, the reading teacher has sufficient knowledge reserves and a wide range of knowledge. There will be many interesting knowledge points in the class, and I will listen to them with relish. It happened that he had a good memory and loved reading, so he paid him a year's money to read books first and see what was going on behind him.

As a result, his personality really changed. This is the reason that prompted my class to write this article, talking about the difference between children's palace and study room children.

One of the differences: the most intuitive difference between static and dynamic.

Is it about the reading room? Are all the children here introverted? No, the environment.

This is a place to read and listen to stories. Reading, companionship and sharing are the forms of their reading classes. The environment here is relatively quiet.

I have to say that my son is greatly influenced by the environment. He naturally calmed down a lot when he entered such an environment. In fact, not only he, but also many children, the environment has a great influence on their growth. You put him in an orderly and gentle environment, and he becomes much kinder. You put him in a noisy place, and he can boo better than anyone else.

In fact, this is also because many parents have broken their heads and want their children to go to prestigious schools.

The second difference: the difference between rationality and irrationality.

This is my observation after my son attended a reading class for nearly a year. He is more capable of rational thinking.

Adhering to this process for a long time has cultivated his ability to think independently. He can see things from different angles. Give him a question and he will think it over, not just listen to one side of the story.

The third difference: profound difference.

Some people say that the difference between reading and other hobbies is the difference between long-term and short-term effects. But I think this statement is not appropriate. In reality, as long as children develop a lifelong interest, whether it is musical instruments, painting, sports or reading, it will certainly nourish their lives. Because these hobbies can help people solve depression in a life full of twists and turns and become a channel to express their feelings.

But in fact, there are still some differences between reading and other hobbies, and I think it has a profound and shallow impact.

For example, if you can't be a musician in the future, it seems that the meaning is not so profound. Of course, in group activities, once you use it and show your strengths, you can still win respect and goodwill.

On the other hand, reading more books will make you more sensitive to art, capture inspiration and contribute to the progress of other hobbies. I heard a friend say that she didn't have enough logical thinking, couldn't think of complicated things and couldn't learn culture, so she chose art. At that time, I was a little in distress situation. How can a person without cultural connotation express his thoughts with his works? The reason why The Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival is immortal is not that the painter is the first, but because it bears the weight of history and records very valuable historical scenes. How can a person who has no painting skills and no thoughts have the heart to make his works valuable?

In fact, as parents, "reading is very important" is a commonplace topic, but it has not been clearly recognized. Occasionally, after listening to the teacher Gao in the study room, I suddenly became enlightened.

He said: We will find a phenomenon. Reading without reading has almost the same effect on pupils' grades. Some students took 98 and 99 exams, while others took 95 and 96 exams. There is not much difference. However, in junior high school, those who have passed 98 and 99 are still in the forefront, while those who have passed 95 and 96 can only get 70 or 80 points.

Why? Because in junior high school, compared with primary school, the amount of knowledge suddenly increased, and children without reading foundation were overwhelmed by sudden changes, and their grades naturally declined. At that time, it was too late to make up for it by reading. But I still don't pay attention to it, especially in high school.

Teachers have also said that high school is the most important study time in a person's life, and this period can be regarded as the peak of knowledge in life. It's a little late to use that period to make up for reading.

Considering this, I accidentally made a very wise choice for my son.

Finally, I ended with a sentence I heard: it is not enough for a person to have this life, he should also have a more poetic spiritual world.

May every child's future have poetry and distance.
