Written to the newbies who are about to enter college and the evolution of themselves from the newbies to old bacon...

On September 1, 2017, as a new kid, you walked into the university with your suitcase. The person who came to pick you up at the station was a senior, oh! We met when we were in Shuiqun. You will find that some seniors are chatting and laughing along the way. No doubt, it is mostly because the elementary school girls around them are appetizing and pretty enough! Some seniors said nothing, holding your suitcase and walking ahead. Well, this elementary school girl is a bit "cheating".

Time is such a beautiful thing. It disappears in your hands before you cherish it enough. In the blink of an eye, you have evolved from a cute little newbie to an old bacon. Looking back on your year in college, you will find:

?

(1) About the school

Before the start of school, you watched the school’s promotional video and admired it over and over again : "Wow, my school is so beautiful! Thick and green trees, a crystal clear lake, colorful flowers, and handsome seniors or beautiful seniors." You may think that you will become a different person when you go to school. Xu Zhimo of Chengdu Campus wrote, "The golden willows by the river are the bride in the sunset; the beautiful shadows in the waves are rippling in my heart. The green water plants on the soft mud sway oilily under the water; In the soft waves, I am willing to be a waterweed. The pool under the elm shade is not a clear spring, but a rainbow from the sky; crushed among the floating algae, there is a dreamy poem like a rainbow. When school starts, you may be a little disappointed when you walk into the campus with your suitcase. Oh, it turns out it’s all the filters, and the school scenery is nothing more than that. But you will still look at it all with novel eyes and sincerely praise some of the school's buildings. Later, you find that the big campus becomes smaller as you walk, the special buildings look ordinary, and the dreams of meeting the top-looking seniors on the road are shattered just by doing it.

Only when we move from dreams to reality can our feelings for the school gradually deepen. Yes, my school may have been a bit bad, but, only I can complain about it.

(2) About class

For some newbies who are social insulators, before the start of school, she may be thinking about the kind of people she will be seated with in college. Maybe if you are lucky, you will meet a great person like Fu Xiaosi as your deskmate, and then have a sweet and unforgettable love. Some people swear: During the four years of college, I must sit in the front row, listen carefully to lectures and take notes. However, as a person who has been there, I see that this is not the case. On the first day of class, a bunch of people were waiting for the classroom to open and grab the first row. Later, the first row was often the vacant seat in the classroom, and the seats further back became more popular. Fixed deskmates don’t exist! Often sisters or brothers sit together. If you want to sit next to the younger brother from other classes, you may have to wait until more than a hundred people take a big class together, and you happen to be late and have good luck, so you can successfully find such a seat.

When the class first started, everyone retained the same passion as in the senior year of high school. They sat upright and motionless like a wooden figure in class. The mobile phone is lying obediently in a drawer or school bag. Later, you find that the teacher will not scold you for sleeping in class. If you don't use your mobile phone, you will become an outlier. Taking notes in class is simply rare. Even if you are absent from work, some teachers will not notice. Finally, you even learned to let your classmates answer the questions for you.

But this is not the norm for everyone. Some people still stick to their original intentions and listen to the lectures carefully and take notes carefully. In fact, self-discipline is very important in college life. The teacher gives you the decision-making power and lets you take charge of your own life. And you have to learn to manage your own life. Do you want to be a salted fish who goes to bed after eating a full meal and keeps gaining weight? Or should I be a top student who keeps improving my grades and getting scholarships? I guess it's up to you.

But I think I will never spend so little money to learn something again. Why not cherish it?

Don’t be a walking sleeping pill.

(3) About the dormitory

Before the start of school, I was also fantasizing about: a standard four-person room, roommates from all over the world, and a friendship between roommates that is higher than the sky and deeper than the sea. It was later discovered that these were all uncertain numbers. Most of the schools in 985 and 211 have four-bed rooms as standard, but there are also schools that believe that freshmen have to endure hardships and start in dormitories. I was lucky because one of my roommates dropped out of school, so the four of us lived in a quadruple room converted from a six-bed room.

Two of my roommates are from the south like me, even from the same province, and there is only one girl from the north. But we can understand each other's dialects and even talk in them. Unexpectedly, a Northeastern girl took us through life scenes speaking in Northeastern dialect.

Our dormitory friendship is quite good. The four of us go to and from get out of class together, eat together, and occasionally talk about our little brother in the dormitory and discuss the size of the four of us. I also thought that we could always be like this. But you will find that when your roommate has a boyfriend, you will have unexpected dog food every day, and you will have the scarce four people to eat and go shopping with.

The closer we live, the more friction there will be, but being able to live together is fate. Later, you may find that your roommate is a close friend and often acts as your emotional mentor!

(4) About the clubs

The clubs in the university can be said to be “dazzling”, and the recruitment of new members by the clubs can be called a battle of hundreds of regiments. There are guitar clubs, hip-hop clubs, sign language clubs, calligraphy clubs, etc. If you become a member of the club, perhaps your sense of presence in the club and your sense of responsibility to the club will be stronger; if you are just a member, you may have nothing to do for a year after paying your dues. It's good to join some clubs that you like, but it's also necessary not to let clubs take over your life.

Clubs are also a good place for you to make friends and accumulate connections. In the club, you will get to know many seniors, some of whom are even great people! In the new year of school, there are many things you don’t understand and you can ask them for help. At the same time, they can give you some good advice on things you are hesitant about.

It is also very good to have an outstanding senior as motivation!

(5) Finally

College life is exciting, it depends on how you arrange it. Maybe you will study hard or play games during self-study in the morning and evening. Maybe you will stay up late to write papers or watch TV dramas. Maybe you will master every day's knowledge in one semester or develop the superpower of completing 18 courses in one month. It's all yours. choice. In college you have to learn to manage your life and find the lifestyle that best suits you. The most important thing is that when you look back on this period of life after passing time, you can have no regrets!

Don’t forget your original intention, everyone, come on!

Hey, this year’s admissions criteria are out. A full 35 points higher than last year! ! ! No, I have to study, otherwise I won’t be able to keep up with the pace of young people!

Well, remember that we meet occasionally. If you happen to be my junior high school brother or junior high school girl, I will pick you up at the station when school starts and give you watermelons during military training!
