From then on, Huang Yangguang became attached to calligraphy and painting. He was optimistic by nature and loved life. He carefully observed every grass and tree in nature with a keen artistic eye. On the road of painting, Huang Yangguang was fortunate to get the guidance and help from many teachers, including Shi Guoliang, a national first-class master of Chinese painting, Fang Fengfu, Lao Cun, Liu Lemin, Long Yun and Ao Yukun, who are known as the "king of grapes".
