Chen Yulong's Personal Experience

Chen Yulong is a famous scholar and calligrapher. Born in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province in 1921. Professor of Oriental Department in Peking University, President of Peking University Calligraphy and Painting Association, Academic Advisor of China International Calligraphy and Painting Talent Network, Member of China Calligraphers Association. In 195s, he served as the secretary of Mr. Ma Yinchu, president of Peking University. His main works are: Outline of Chinese Culture, Calligraphy Art in China (among which the five senses of calligraphy are highly valued by the calligraphy circle), Heaven and Earth are upright, etc. He has been invited to Japan, the United States, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Hongkong, Taiwan Province and other places to do calligraphy art exchange activities, and the effect is very good. Some calligraphy works are collected in museums, forest of steles and other important places. Calligraphy works have been presented to many domestic and foreign celebrities and political dignitaries, such as: South Korean President Kim Dae-jung, Japanese Daisaku Ikeda, Thai Princess sirindhorn, etc. He once wrote the preface of calligraphy art exhibition for Mr. Shu Tong, a famous contemporary calligrapher, and participated in the defense meeting of doctoral thesis of calligraphy held by Professor Ouyang Zhongshi, a famous calligrapher. In March 22, he was invited to participate in the calligraphy exhibition of famous contemporary scholars in Beijing.

In p>1921, in a stormy time, Chen Yulong was born in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, which is known as the "gateway to Jinling", and was influenced by the cultural history of the ancient city since childhood. At the age of five, he entered a private school to receive enlightenment education, imitating Yan and Liu. For eight years, he wrote a book in block letters and a book in small letters every day, and the pool was endless. After leaving the private school, Chen Yulong entered a private primary school, and then was admitted to the famous Yangzhou Middle School in Jiangsu Province. Unfortunately, shortly after he entered junior high school, the Japanese invasion shattered his dream of studying. Yu-long Chen left his hometown and came to southwest Sichuan and Yunnan. During his exile, he worked as an apprentice, trainee and employee, and carved wax plates for people to prepare for hardships. However, "life is also difficult, and life is also fortunate." In the mountain city of Chongqing, Chen Yulong met Mr. Xu Xueyuan, a veteran of Wuchang Uprising, a famous educator and calligrapher in the Republic of China, and joined the school. During the conversation, Chen Yulong repeatedly mentioned his teacher Xu Xueyuan. He said that his stay in Chongqing had the greatest influence on his life and learning calligraphy. His understanding of implicit calligraphy and his thought of "cultivating morality by learning" were deeply influenced by Xu Xueyuan. Later, Yu-long Chen moved to Peking University, where he worked with the old headmaster of Ma Yinchu for several years. The wind and rain made him pass on virtue and fragrance, and his knowledge and calligraphy were influenced and edified by him. During his decades in Peking University, Chen Yulong has made great achievements in history, literature and calligraphy, and he is a scholar, essayist and artist, none of which can be compared with ordinary people. As a generation of masters, the infiltration and unusual experience of 5 years of university teaching have also added a lot of color to Chen Yulong's unique and unique book style.
