Shifang is located in the Chengdu Plain in the hinterland of Sichuan. It is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Deyang City and is 40 kilometers away from the main urban area of ??Chengdu in the south. As of 2011, it covers an area of ??864 square kilometers, governs 2 sub-district offices, 14 towns, and has a population of approximately 430,000. Shifang is a famous historical and cultural city in Sichuan Province. It once enjoyed the reputation of "the fairyland of Yu's traces" due to the footprints of Yu the Great.
