He has successively served as deputy director, research librarian, professor, doctoral supervisor, and deputy director of the academic committee of the Library of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (later renamed the Documentation and Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences). Executive director of the Library Society of China, chairman of the Library Society of Central State Agencies and Scientific Research Departments. Xin Ximengsheng, a famous library and information scientist and calligrapher doctoral tutor, and director of the Library and Information Institute of Professor Guojie Research Institute. He serves as a part-time professor at Peking University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the University of Science and Technology, and other universities. He once served as the chief library subject editor of the "Encyclopedia of China" (Second Edition). He has published more than 300 papers and chaired and participated in more than 10 national and ministerial (provincial) level research projects. He has authored or co-authored more than 10 books, including "Intellectual Resource Development and Economic Effects of Documentation Work" and "Introduction to Library and Information Work". He has received government subsidies from the State Council and many other honorary awards.
