Yangping Guild Hall is located in Xiaojiang Hutong outside Qianmen, Beijing. According to historical records, the Yangping Guild Hall was jointly built by businessmen from Pingyang Prefecture and 20 surrounding counties in Shanxi Province in the seventh year of Jiaqing (1802). The building of the guild hall is magnificent. It is a two-step corridor hanging from the mountain in front of and behind the 12 purlin shed, which consists of a theater and a three-way courtyard. The interior of the theater is carved with beams and painted with buildings, which is magnificent. The stands are divided into two floors, the second floor is opposite the stage. It's an official compartment with a front porch and stands on both sides, where tables and stools can be placed. The stand guardrail has carved fences and sentries, and there are stairs at the four corners for people to go up and down. The stage plane is nearly square, protruding from the venue and showing a front porch style. The stage is divided into three layers, with an opening at the top and a tunnel at the bottom, which can be used to set up institutional scenery. Murals are painted on the walls on both sides of the theater, and there are shrines for ancestor worship. There used to be several giant plaques hanging in the theater, but now there are only two Chinese ink wooden plaques, one of which was inscribed by Wang Duo, a famous calligrapher in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. The "Xingshiduo" plaque has been properly preserved. According to reports, before this, the guild hall has always been the warehouse of Tongrentang Pharmacy. In order to better preserve this cultural heritage, the Chongwen District Government exchanged property rights with Tongrentang, and in May this year, the residents living in it began to move. After the transformation, the Yangping Guild Hall will still be used as a theater for traditional operas.
Anhui Guild Hall was proposed by Li Hongzhang in the eighth year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty to buy a house in Sun Park and rebuild it. The shape of the theater in the museum is roughly the same as that of Huguang Guild Hall, but the scale is slightly smaller. Pingyang Guild Hall is located in Xiaojiang Hutong in the east outside Qianmen, which was opened by Linfen people in Shanxi. The theater is in the south of the guild hall, sitting west and east. The stage is square and has two floors, the top of which is supported by two wooden columns, there is a square opening between each floor, and there is a tunnel at the bottom, which can perform miraculous dramas. The lower stage covers an area of 50 square meters and the platform base is 0.6 meters high. There are three Islamic-style doors and windows decorated with woodcarving patterns on the front of the building. This stage is lengthened and open on three sides. There is a double-deck watchtower on the front three sides of the theater, and the middle of the watchtower is flat, where tables and chairs can be placed. The overall decoration is gorgeous and magnificent. There is a plaque in the theater written by Wang Duo, a calligrapher in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. This theater has a history of at least 340 years. At that time, it was also a rare wooden indoor theater in the world.
