The emblem of Beijing Winter Olympics means:

The dance lines in the middle are smooth and rhythmic, representing the rolling hills, stadiums, snow slides and festive ribbons in the venue, adding a festive visual feeling to the emblem and symbolizing that the Beijing Winter Olympics will be held during the Spring Festival in China.

Features of the emblem:

The emblem consists of sports icons which are combined with seal cutting and Chinese characters. Showing the delicate brushwork and white cloth between square inches through the blade is not only colorful, but also echoes the emblem of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, "China Seal", which has become a unique cultural imprint left by Beijing to the world as the "Double Olympic City". Through this set of icons, we can vividly feel the form and spirit of winter sports, as well as the root and soul of China culture.
