How to Make Calligraphy Classroom Lively and Interesting

Calligraphy is a unique traditional culture and art in China. It is a rule of writing Chinese characters, also known as "calligraphy", including seal script, official script, running script, cursive script, regular script and so on. There is a lot of content, and students know little about it. Although the textbooks are classified, they are still boring and have little interest. So I write some of my own practices for your reference:

Change the traditional teaching method and explain it in three classes. The first lesson explains the development of calligraphy and calligraphers in that period, interspersed with calligraphers' short stories. Another class shows students the video of calligraphy class. Finally, let the students write by themselves, discuss in groups and choose the good ones to write on the blackboard. After a few weeks, I felt quite fruitful. Students are very interested, actively practice calligraphy and learn from each other. And you can comment on the works of some calligraphers, which improves quickly.
