Wang Changshui, born on February 4, 1939, with the courtesy name Yuanquan and Luchi, was born in Qihe, Dezhou, Shandong Province. He graduated from the Chinese Department of Shandong University in 1965. Professor of Shandong University (the first calligraphy professor in New China), master's tutor, and member of the Chinese Calligraphy Association. He once served as the dean of Shandong Oriental Art Academy, vice chairman of Shandong University Calligraphy and Painting Association, vice chairman of Shandong Provincial Calligraphy Education Committee, executive vice president and director of the Art Steering Committee of Shandong Elderly Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, art consultant of Shandong Oriental Art Academy Calligraphy and Painting Art Committee, etc. . Since the 1960s, he has studied under professors such as Jiang Weisong, Lu Kanru, and Xiao Difei. In the early 1990s, he devoted himself to calligraphy education and became the first calligraphy professor in New China. For forty-six years, I have been following Mr. Jiang in the study, teaching, research and creation of philology and calligraphy. I am sincere and open-minded, do not seek fame in vain, and am strict with myself. It has been highly praised by Mr. Jiang and many calligraphy masters. He has written extensively and has unique insights; his calligraphy is "simple, bold and broad-minded".
