Wu Jialing can write all kinds of fonts. He can write small and large letters. He can swing freely. His calligraphy uses a zigzag pen, and his thickness can change freely. His works are vigorous and powerful, which is necessary. His works have been selected in many collections of paintings and calligraphy at home and abroad, and he has traveled to Japan, Singapore, Beijing, Hongkong, Taiwan Province Province, Japan and Singapore. As a famous old calligrapher in Guangdong Province, he published Wu Jialing's Calligraphy Collection.
Besides being accomplished in calligraphy, Mr. Wu Jialing's paintings are also deeply rooted. When I was young, I decided to become a master of Chinese painting, and studied under the famous fish painters Lu Chuanyuan, Liang,,, Chen Yongqiang, etc. Influenced by a certain aspect, Wu Jialing stopped studying painting. It was not until the mid-1990s that Mr. Wu Jialing, who was 70 years old, began to regain his brush, "painting with calligraphy and freehand brushwork with meticulous brushwork", and made a plan of "living a hard life for himself". In order to draw live shad, he bought several large shads and kept them in a glass water tank. He observed the swimming posture of the shad day and night: the tail swinging, the fin shaking, the mouth opening and closing and the fish bending ... In order to show the arrangement of fish scales vividly, he found pictures of the shad, scanned them with a computer, and studied the size and thickness of the fish scales one by one.
Teacher Wang's painting field is broad and his basic skills are solid. In addition to Chinese painting, he also dabbled in sketching, sketching, comics, comic books, watercolors, oil paintings, New Year pictures, and even arts and crafts and stage arts, all of which have a certain professional level. Chinese painting, regardless of meticulous freehand brushwork, or landscapes, figures, flowers and birds, fish and insects, is all-encompassing. In recent years, he is especially good at meticulous flower-and-bird painting. From Wu Jialing's Selected Manuscripts of Chinese Painting, it is not difficult to see Mr. Wu Jialing's painting achievements. Mr. Wu's meticulous painting is particularly fine, which won Lu Chuanyuan's ignorance and innovation. Every shad is so vividly painted that it is almost hard to believe that it is the work of an old man in his seventies. Looking closely at Mr. Wu Jialing's paintings, he is very meticulous, freehand and accomplished.
Fine brushwork lines can best reflect the artist's skill. Mr. Wu Jialing's lines are smooth, positive, accurate, powerful, changeable and unified, and can accurately and generally show the physical structure, virtual and real texture and spatial relationship of objects with different lines. Whether the rendering time of a work is profound or not is closely related to whether the picture is thick or not. And this has something to do with sketching. Mr. Wu Jialing doesn't feel thin because he learned sketch in his early years. The color of the picture can be changed harmoniously and unified in contrast, and the contrast can be made through the changes of hue, lightness and purity, so that the picture has a bright and not vulgar effect.
Mr. Wu Jialing's freehand brushwork also has certain attainments. As early as the early 1980s, Shang Chengzuo and Liao He began to admire this theory. In particular, the ink painting of bighead carp (bighead carp) is freehand, vivid and outstanding, and has a unique style, which is unparalleled in Shunde so far. Pen and ink, accurate summary, lively and smart, full of ink rhyme. His inscriptions are mostly found in his literary accomplishment, long and poor, and also poetic and literary. With its elegant and agile running script and elegant seal, it shows the true face of a literati painting that combines the old and the new.
Mr. Wu Jialing's freehand brushwork, such as "Beauty in Spring" and "Peony Sketch", is full of rich colors. Flower sketches and lotus mandarin ducks in the middle and late 1970s are also lively and agile. Chickens in the middle and late 1980s, especially flower sketches and lotus mandarin ducks, were more lively and agile. Chicken in the middle and late 1980s was a face formed by Jia Baomin, a famous Tianjin chicken painter, who personally taught and deeply studied the modeling of Huang Zhou, a famous painter. Of course, during this period, Mr. Jialing focused more on his plan of "having a hard time with himself" and on "mending the cottage" (meaning "mending after the sheep is dead") to motivate himself, and made great efforts in meticulous painting, starting with meticulous painting and drawing the relay with freehand brushwork.
For decades, Mr. Wu Jialing has walked out of his own way and made achievements. His oil painting "Bottle Chrysanthemum" and paper-cut "Reading Newspaper" were also selected for the Provincial Workers' Art Exhibition, and the paper-cut won the second prize; The meticulous painting "The Picture of Banana and Fish" won the bronze prize of the First China Art Exhibition sponsored by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and People's Daily, and was awarded the title of "World Chinese Artist". Yu Qian's meticulous figure painting was collected by Wei Chuantong, the former first president of China People's Liberation Army Art College.
