Introduction to Beige Buddha Lantern Attractions:

One of the eight scenic spots in Chaozhou. It is located in the north of Chaozhou City, backed by Jinshan Mountain and facing Hanjiang River. Beige was originally the general name for a group of pavilions at the foot of the mountain to the east of Jinshan Mountain. Here you can see the sharply descending Han River in the east, climb to the North Pavilion, see the "crocodile crossing the autumn wind" on the north embankment, the "Han Temple Oak" across the river, the "Spring Rise of the Xiang Bridge" on the lower reaches of the Han River, and the "Phoenix Rain" and many other scenic spots. I can still see it clearly; overlooking the Han River, the river is surging and white sails are dotted. It is said that the Buddhist lantern in front of the pavilion shines with golden light at night. The lights can be seen on the river from Luhu, fifteen miles upstream of Hanjiang River, to Jishui Tower downstream, and by land from Nanwudong in Raoping to the south to Fuyang, Chaozhou City. , the symbol of Hanjiang Night Navigation.

Beige Scenic Area was built in the Song Dynasty and formed in the Ming Dynasty. It has experienced ups and downs in the past dynasties, and was completely destroyed on the eve of liberation. In the new construction period, with good governance and people's coordination, all kinds of wastes have been revitalized, and this long-lost scenic spot has been rebuilt. The entire scenic spot is surrounded by mountains and rivers, rising from bottom to top, with scattered heights and majestic views. The newly built Xuantian Pavilion has yellow tiles, red walls, and double eaves. The ninety-eight-year-old famous calligrapher Qin **sheng inscribed a plaque for Xuantian Pavilion and wrote a couplet: "On the wall of a river stands Optimus Prime, and hundreds of springs fly across the earth." The artistic statue of Emperor Zhenwu was rebuilt in the pavilion. Next to the pavilion stands a stone Buddha lantern. On the hillside next to you is the Hanjiang Tower, a double-story building with the upper part for viewing and the lower part for statues of Guan Yu, Guan Ping and Zhou Cang. Mr. Jao Tsung-i, professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, inscribed a plaque for the building and wrote a couplet: "Loyalty lasts forever and has light, so why ask for the sun; loyalty and courage last forever, this is the blue sky." Lan Pavilion was built to the south of Hanjiang Tower. The couplet engraved on the pavilion is: "The sound of the river breaks through the ground, and the shadow of the peak falls on the city head." It reproduces the scene that Zheng Lanzhi once chanted:

The smoke forest in the north of the city On several floors of the pavilion, there are burning lanterns on the glass seats. A faint trace reflects the tranquility of the blue sky, and a little bit of it condenses with the day.

The shadows hang over the ancient temple in the morning, and the moon hangs over the hills at night. The Brahma Palace naturally has a bright mirror, illuminating all things clear in the Han Dynasty.

At that time, more than 700,000 yuan was raised from various parties to rebuild the Changshou Temple, Xuantian Pavilion, Stone Buddha Lantern, and Tiantian Gate, repaired the ancient city walls and cliff carvings in the scenic area, and built the supporting project North Pavilion. Gates and walls bring back the splendor of past attractions. When you climb up to the Beige, you will see the "Crocodile Crossing the Autumn Wind" on the North Embankment, the "Han Temple Oak Technique" across the river, the "Spring Rise of Xiangqiao", "Phoenix Rain", "Longqiu Pagoda" and other scenic spots downstream, which are breathtaking. It is one of the most attractive tourist attractions in the ancient city of Chaozhou.
