Birthday couplets/scrolls
Birthday couplets are used for birthdays. The most common example is: "Happiness is like flowing water in the East China Sea, and longevity is longer than Nanshan". Due to the gender and age differences between men and women, the allusions and wording used in life couplets are also different. For example, the women's 70th birthday party said: "Jingui is bright and healthy in her later years; Changchun grass, celebrating the ancient and the rare. " Men's 80th birthday couplet: "Try fishing with one shot while skiing. Wuling Qianshu laughs and sails. " Twin couplets have: "The daffodils in the flowers grow old together, and the picture shows the graceful figure of the Queen Mother." Some longevity peaches are made of fresh peaches. Most of them are made of flour. In the myth, the Queen Mother celebrated her birthday and put flat peaches in Yaochi to entertain all kinds of immortals, so they all celebrated their birthdays with peaches.
In the Shoutang case, Chen Fang's peaches are usually one plate and three plates are placed side by side. Shoutao steamed with flour has a red mouth.
Zhu Shou
Birthday candles are specially used to celebrate birthdays. They are all red. The wax surface is printed with golden old sayings such as "Longevity" or "Happiness is like the East China Sea", which is generally one foot long and weighs about one catty. At the beginning of the celebration, shaking the wax pole inserted in the incense table of Shoutang not only played a role in celebration, but also added a warm atmosphere.
A birthday dinner/feast
"No wine, no table", when celebrating, the host will hold a banquet to entertain the guests, so many people will also send wine. In the north, Zhuyeqing, Gujing Distillery, Zhuangyuanhong and other wines are used as birthday wine, while in the northeast, ginseng wine is used as a gift.
Birthday/longevity noodles
Noodles for birthdays and birthday banquets can be given by relatives and friends or brought by the host.
Noodles, a traditional food in China, are very long. Eating them every day can prolong life. Shoumian should be 3 feet long, and each bundle should have more than 100 pieces, which are coiled into a tower shape. Cover the flowers with red and green paper and prepare two copies for the birthday girl.
A picture of wealth and prosperity
Eighty-year-olds often use this to celebrate their birthdays. There is a blooming peony flower at the bottom of the picture, butterflies are flying around the flower, and several cats are playing the game of patting butterflies.
"Yao" and "Zhen" both mean longevity, peony is a symbol of wealth, while cat is homophonic with "pen" and butterfly is homophonic with "leisure", so three groups of scenery constitute this picture.
Fulu first picture
Congratulatory guests also presented this painting and hung it in the nave to express their congratulations. In some pictures, there are boys looking up at flying bats, which means "longing for happiness"
