Generally speaking, calligraphy is to write the most complicated content with the simplest action. Professionally speaking, calligraphy is the art of writing Chinese characters, including pen, structure, shelving, inscription and so on. Through the lifting, frustration, urgency and rhythm of brush strokes, through the domination of point, line and shape, through the oblique, balanced, scattered and dynamic performance, the profound meaning of "Tao" is produced, which is interdependent, mutually restrictive, mutually set off, mutually echoed and coexisted and prospered.
Calligraphy is composed of "lines", and it always uses lines to express emotions, which is the most important aesthetic feature of calligraphy art.
Calligraphy and music have some similarities. Melody, sound and rhythm are used to arouse aesthetic feeling and express thoughts and feelings. Music is an invisible sound, while calligraphy is a tangible sound.
And writing is the ubiquitous writing in our daily work and life. Writing is more suitable for us. Everyone can write, but not everyone can write calligraphy and become a calligrapher. People who write well often write neatly, regularly and beautifully.
Many people often call neat, regular and beautiful words calligraphy before they know what calligraphy is, and the people who write these words are also called calligraphers. Later, they realized that calligraphy and writing are completely different concepts.
Those words are well written, formal and beautiful, and they are not necessarily called calligraphers. They are just a "calligrapher", a "writer" and a so-called "teacher" with the same meaning. That is, they all have only bodies, have no thoughts of their own, and write well, have no thoughts of their own and have no temperament. So you can't be "home", and that's the biggest difference between "home" and "craftsman". "Home" has its own thoughts, while "artisan" has no thoughts, just like carpenters and masons.
So I think calligraphy and writing are completely different concepts!
Of course, not everyone can become a calligrapher, but I think we should all learn calligraphy, feel the coolness and tranquility brought by our hearts through calligraphy, and experience the leisurely mood of the ancients through learning traditional culture, thus adding interest to our lives!
