The story of the famous calligrapher Wang Xizhi

Wang Xizhi was a great calligrapher during the Eastern Jin Dynasty in my country. The following is the story of the famous calligrapher Wang Xizhi that I compiled for you. Welcome to read this article!

He was born in a noble family, and because of his outstanding talent, he was recommended by all the ministers in the court. Be an official. He served as governor and general of the Right Army (people also called him Wang Youjun).

Wang Xizhi loved writing since he was a child. It is said that when walking, I would practice calligraphy with my fingers at any time. As time went by, even my clothes were scratched. After diligent study and practice, Wang Xizhi's calligraphy became more and more famous. People at that time regarded his writing as a treasure.

It is said that once, Wang Xizhi went to a village. An old woman was selling a basket of hexagonal bamboo fans at the market. That kind of bamboo fan was very simple, without much decoration, and did not attract the interest of passers-by. It seemed that it could not be sold, and the old woman was very worried.

When Wang Xizhi saw this situation, he sympathized with the old woman, so he stepped forward and said to her: "You have no painting or words on this bamboo fan, so of course you can't sell it." How about I write an inscription for you?

The old woman didn't know Wang Xizhi, so seeing his enthusiasm, she gave him the bamboo fan to write on.

Wang Xizhi picked up his pen and wrote five words on each fan, then returned them to the old woman. The old woman was illiterate and felt that his writing was very sloppy and she was very unhappy.

Wang Xizhi comforted her and said: "Don't worry." Did you tell the person who bought the fan that it was written by Wang Youjun?

When Wang Xizhi left, the old woman did as he asked. When people at the market saw that it was Wang Youjun's calligraphy, they all rushed to buy it. A basket of bamboo fans was sold out immediately.

Many artists have their own hobbies, some like to grow flowers, and some like to raise birds. But Wang Xizhi has his special hobby. No matter where there is a good goose, he is interested in seeing it or buying it back to enjoy.

There was a Taoist priest in Shanyin. He wanted Wang Xizhi to write him a volume of the Tao Te Ching. But he knew that Wang Xizhi was not willing to copy scriptures for others easily. Later, he found out that Wang Xizhi liked white geese, so he specially raised a batch of good varieties of geese.

Wang Xizhi heard that the Taoist family had good geese, so he really ran to see them. When he approached the Taoist priest's house, he saw a group of geese floating leisurely on the water in the river. Their snow-white feathers contrasted with the tall red roof, which was really cute.

Wang Xizhi looked at the geese by the river and was reluctant to leave, so he sent someone to find the Taoist priest and asked to sell the geese to him.

The Taoist priest smiled and said: Since the prince likes it so much, there is no need to spend any money. I will give you all the geese. But I have a request, that is, please write a book for me. ?

Wang Xizhi copied a volume of scripture for the Taoist priest without hesitation, and the geese were taken back by Wang Xizhi.

Eating Dumplings

One day, Wang Xizhi passed by the market and saw a dumpling shop with noisy people in front of it. Especially the two couplets beside the door are particularly eye-catching. They read "I can't get through this, I know the taste and come here often". The horizontal plaque reads "Ya'er Dumpling Shop". However, the writing is dull and weak, lacking effort.

After Wang Xizhi read it, he thought to himself: Such a word "lai" deserves to be written on a plaque. He thought again: "I can't get over this, I know the taste and come back often." ?Good guy! Whose business is here that can boast so much?

When I took a closer look, I saw a large pot of boiling water in the shop, located next to a low wall. The wrapped white flour dumplings are like little white birds flying over the wall one after another, falling right into the boiling cauldron. Once the pot is full, the bird will stop flying without any need to say hello. When the pot of dumplings is cooked and fished out, the "birds" fly over like they are lining up again, exactly.

Wang Xizhi was very surprised, so he took out some scattered silver coins, ordered a large bowl of dumplings, and sat down. Only then did he realize that the dumplings were all exquisite and delicate, like ducks floating in the water. They were really ingenious items! He picked up the dumplings with chopsticks, slowly brought them to his mouth, and took a bite. Suddenly, the fragrance hits your nose and your mouth is filled with deliciousness. Unknowingly, I swallowed all the big bowl of dumplings.

After a full meal, Wang Xizhi said to himself: These duck dumplings are really good! It’s just that the couplets at the door are poorly written and don’t match these delicious dumplings. Why don’t I, Wang Xizhi, take this opportunity? Write another couplet for them, and live up to my coming here? Thinking of this, he asked the store clerk: Where is the owner?

The store clerk pointed to the low wall with his finger and said:? When I got back to my husband, the shop owner was behind the wall. ?

Wang Xizhi walked around the low wall and saw a white-haired old woman sitting in front of the panel. She was rolling out dumpling wrappers and stuffing dumplings by herself. She was done in a blink of an eye. Her movements were extremely deft. What's even more surprising is that after wrapping them, the white-haired old woman casually threw the dumplings toward the low wall, and the duck dumplings jumped over the wall one by one.

Wang Xizhi was amazed by the old man's superb skills. He hurriedly stepped forward and asked: "Old man, how long does it take to master a skill as advanced as yours?" The old man replied: "To be honest with you, it takes fifty years to become proficient and a lifetime to master it deeply." ?

After hearing this, Wang Xizhi was silent for a while, as if tasting the taste of these words. Then he asked: "Your craftsmanship is so superb, why don't you ask someone to write better the couplets at the door?
