Development history of the second election society

Erxuan Society of Japan was founded in 1953, which specializes in publishing calligraphy books. 1958, a series of masterpieces was published, with a total of 208 volumes, which had a far-reaching impact on the book world.

In the early 1970s, in order to realize the aspirations of scholars and artists at home and abroad, the National Palace Museum in Taipei entrusted Erxuan Society in Tokyo, Japan, a world-renowned publishing institution, to simulate and reproduce more than 40 representative works exclusively. Ye Qiang told reporters that in order to achieve the "epoch-making reproduction effect", experts from the Japanese Second Propaganda Agency have specially developed a huge camera with a length of five meters, a height of two meters and a width of three tons after more than 20 years of experiments, and carried out the same scale photography with eight to twelve colors, computer plate making and high-precision printing technology, and selected specially developed paper and silk, so these replicas vividly reflected the face of the original.

1996, these replicas of Erxuan Society were exhibited in the Palace Museum in Beijing, causing a sensation. Nearly 100 "ancient paintings and calligraphy" exhibited this time are similar to the original works in terms of size, color, texture of paper and silk, brushwork, brushwork and antique feeling, and have been exhibited in more than 70 provinces and cities across the country.

People in the painting and calligraphy circles believe that these replicas are superior to the original works in terms of appreciation, learning and copying, and experts who study the history of oriental art at home and abroad also give high praise. They believe that the appearance of these replicas of Tokyo Second Election Society in Japan makes up for the historical regret. Qi Gong, a famous painter and appraiser in China, once said: "After hundreds or even thousands of years, most of the original works have been damaged, at least the colors are gloomy, and the original scenery has long been lost. These replicas have all recovered their original colors, just like the new ones.

The reproduction project of the Second Selection Society is of epoch-making significance. In addition to preserving the historical relics of that year (1980, 1990), since the original will grow old with the times, the replica will be younger than the original in a hundred years. On the other hand, these well-made replica artworks of the Forbidden City can be circulated in individual homes, and they also have their own contribution to the promotion of China art..

Up to 1987, Erxuan Society has published a series of books, such as Lecture on Calligraphy Techniques, China Calligraphy Series, China Seal Cutting Series, Dunhuang Calligraphy Series, Selected Primary Colors of Fa Tie, etc. With the continuous progress of printing technology, the Second Selection Society decided to retire the famous series and choose The History of China Calligraphy.

From 65438 to 0989, Taipei Huifengtang contacted Erxuan Society and started a closer cooperative relationship. During 1990, representatives of Erxuan Society came to Taiwan and signed a contract with HSBC Hall to publish books in Taiwan. Hsbc Hall plans and represents the annual taipei international book exhibition.

Someone joked that the advantages and disadvantages of the publications of the Second Election Society are so obvious. The advantage is its excellent production and printing technology, and the biggest disadvantage is that it is too expensive.
