Zheng Daozhao, whose real name is Mr. Zhong Yue, was born in Kaifeng, Xingyang, Northern Wei Dynasty. He was a famous calligrapher and the originator of Wei Bei. He was once the secretariat of Gwangju (Laizhou in Han Dynasty).

Named after the resident of the ancient state capital, it was originally named Ye County. Tang Fu changed Donglai County to Laizhou City. Both the Song and Yuan Dynasties followed the Tang system.
