Du Bing's creation of Ghost was inspired by Japanese manga's application for Guinness World Records. He believes that it is very bold and unique to combine beautiful women from different countries and nationalities with various ghosts in the way of Chinese painting, which has never been explored before. At the same time, he integrated sci-fi imagination into his paintings, symbolizing earthlings with beautiful women and aliens with ghosts, expressing a spirit of exploring life. The beauties in Du Bing's paintings are of all colors and ages, while the ghosts are all weird. In this regard, Du Bing said that he hoped that these ghosts could produce toys in the future.
Du Bing's family is full of artistic talent. He was very interested in art and sculpture when he was in primary school. Under the careful guidance of art teacher Li Yousheng, he can vividly copy cartoons such as Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Water Margin. After graduating from junior high school, under the guidance of the painter Shi Xiaoxiang, he began to learn the theoretical knowledge of the fine arts major of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts by himself. At the same time, he completed the novel Rural Youth with about 200,000 words according to his own experience. At the age of 20, he left his hometown to explore the world. His murals and large calligraphy slogans have been left in stations, docks, schools or parks in Harbin, Zhangjiajie, Yantai, Shennongjia and Luoyang. At this time, his specialty has also been fully demonstrated-Mao Zedong's sculptures are lifelike, lifelike.
Since 1980s, Du Bing has been a visiting professor at Guangdong Academy of Fine Arts, Hunan Normal University and Fujian Academy of Fine Arts, teaching sculpture expertise. His sculptures are all over the country and have been exhibited in Canada, the United States, Japan, Hong Kong and other places, many of which have been collected by international friends. Xiao Feng, former president of China Academy of Fine Arts, wrote an inscription at the Royal Sculpture Museum in China (in Huangyan City, our province), and more than a thousand works were jointly completed by him and his students. In Beihai, Guangxi, he completed the sculpture of 108 in the TV series Water Margin, which was displayed in Juyi Hall of the park for a long time. In Changsha Martyrs Park, Hunan Province, it took him nearly a year to complete 350 sculptures with the students. In the Range Rover Palace in Qixingyan, Guangdong, he spent nearly a year leading students to complete the sculpture of General Ye Ting and more than 400 statues of great men such as Sun Yat-sen and Soong Ching Ling. His sculptures are mostly found in the "Fairy Cave" in Guiyang, a revolutionary holy place in Jiangxi, Fujian, Yiwu and Dongyang, which provides a place for future generations to commemorate revolutionary martyrs, receive revolutionary traditional education and patriotism education. He has finished nearly 10,000 works, and also designed and completed 30 episodes of artistic works such as The Emperor of China and The Cool Wind of Ancient Countries, accounting for about 5,000 works, and created 25,000 paintings in 10.
In order to complete this collection of paintings based on aliens (ghosts) and earthlings (beauties), he went to Qiu Lai in the spring, and for many nights, he "confined" himself in the studio and created crazily. Once inspired, he will get up late at night and burn the midnight oil. Although there is still a long way to go from his dream, he has no regrets.
