What does ink white mean?

It originally refers to a painter.

Chinese painting, calligraphy and seal cutting pay the most attention to blank space. White is the "eye" of the whole picture frame, which is good or bad, success or failure, key and artistic conception. The freehand brushwork of Chinese painting emphasizes ink, water and gas, and ventilation should be said to be the most important thing in Chinese painting, which is "painting eyes". If the space is left well, the image will be integrated with white, natural and smooth, sparse and orderly. If you leave blank space badly, it will be boring and depressing, which will lead to disorder and go against nature. "Blank space" is one of the most important rules in Chinese painting. Calligraphy not only pays attention to the skills of pen and ink, composition, rhythm, line insertion and thickness change, but also emphasizes the overall layout, which is determined by white. Seal cutting pays more attention to the density change of lines. Dense places can be airtight, and sparse places can be sports cars. This is the basic requirement of Buffon cutting. Obviously, the quality of "white" will directly affect the effect of these works.

Confucius said, "Know white and leave ink." Let's imagine if our life is like a painting: our behavior is like ink to be released. Do we consider space, size and thickness, and whether we can leave more room for each other when calculating gains and losses? Our own behavior, like jumping pen and ink on white paper, deduces the composition of mind and measurement, self and overall situation, tolerance and kindness, adjusts the relationship between black and white, and completes the harmonious transition between them, so as to achieve the artistic conception pursued in painting?
