Reflections on Bi Shumin's Prose Collection

Read "I am looking for that wild flower"

"I know when they open leaves, when they pull out stems, and when they suddenly open in the morning ..."

I was deeply touched by Bi Shumin's Wild Flowers. Joe from the countryside was often discriminated against by others because of her poor family, which cast a shadow over her childhood. After all kinds of setbacks, Joe grew up. Because her family couldn't afford her schooling, she gave up her studies and became a female worker in a printing factory, shouldering the burden of life. Her life is so bumpy and full of trauma, but she never forgets to look back and admire that wild flower. In her heart, there is still plenty of strength and love, enough to resist the frost and suffering of the journey.

With the continuous development and progress of modern society, many families have lived a rich life. Some children are spoiled by their parents, become coquettish and selfish, rely on their parents to support themselves and don't care about others at all. Some children's parents can't control it and spend their hard-earned money on useless things ... but others have worked hard and stood on their own feet all their lives. The poet Wang Guozhen once said: "Since you have chosen distance and convenience, you only care about suffering." It well embodies the spirit of "finding flowers" that is not afraid of difficulties.

Are we also looking for such a wild flower in our hearts?

When the stumbling block of failure hinders the direction of progress, we can find some comfort in our friends, some encouragement in our teachers' eyes, and some encouragement in our parents' words ... Maybe that's the wildflowers we are looking for, the wildflowers that are open and successful; When we wander in confusion and can't find the direction, we can put down the heavy stones in our hearts, go to the park to feel the birds and flowers, go to the book sea to experience the customs of the ages, and go to the piano room to taste the sound of the piano. Isn't this optimism and comfort exactly what we are looking for?

Use this summer vacation to practice calligraphy attentively. Thick ink filled the whole study, the curtains were opened, the sun was everywhere, and some dust rolled in the air. Patiently finished practicing a Mao Zedong's "Qinyuanchun Changsha" and proudly handed it to the busy grandmother. I think: every curl and every stroke is so full and powerful that grandma will give me a thumbs-up as before. But grandma didn't.

She blinked hard, without showing a trace of joy. She, who has always loved me, should have performed me beautifully, but a "not good enough" completely destroyed my confidence. My tears are about to come out, and the pen in my hand begins to tremble. I'm a little discouraged.

A wild flower suddenly appeared in my mind. ...

I looked up and saw the Lanting hanging on the wall. Wang Xizhi, a world-famous calligraphy master since ancient times, doesn't know how many times he practiced and how much effort he spent. In this way, my small bottle of ink is far less than his dozen cans of water. So I clenched my pen again and made up my mind to practice my handwriting well. Let grandma see my intentions and try to witness my strength!

People's life, who knows how many difficulties are waiting for us? Who knows how many setbacks we have to go through to create brilliance? But I know that as long as we have been looking for that wild flower that belongs to us, we should care for it with abundant strength.
