I want to teach myself calligraphy, but I don't understand it at all. I don't know how to start. I asked the master for advice.

There are two ways to teach yourself calligraphy, but the premise is that you must like it and use your heart.

The first kind,

After reading all the calligraphers' works before the end of Qing Dynasty, copy whoever you like, until you are almost confused, and then choose the next calligrapher to continue. Mr. Qi Gong and Mr. Tai Jingnong appreciate this method. Of course, they are good friends.

The answer to how to consciously calligraphy is very long. Please read it patiently and recommend some good stone tablets and calligraphy books at the bottom.

These good calligraphy inscriptions can be found in the lower right corner of the picture.

Second, it is a more systematic way for the ancients to learn Chinese characters.

Chinese characters first arrived, then went to Weibei (also dabbled in epitaphs), and finally arrived in the Tang Dynasty. Li Xuexi's Elliot Ngok Mountain Temple Monument and Libu Monument were called the first, so they were full of ancient meanings and wonderful. In the medium term, I will study the monuments around Chen Shi again. Chen Shi is simple and natural, suitable for writing small officials. After studying Shimen Fu and Xihuang Fu, they were solemn, simple and elegant. They studied Yan Zhenqing and Wang Xizhi in Han Li. Very good.

But a word of caution, don't learn from "Cao Quanbei", Han Li is a very simple font, giving people a strong and heavy feeling.

And "Cao Quan" is slim, thin and girly. So it's best not to learn from Cao Quan. Of course, this is my own opinion.

Weibei first carefully read the twenty products of Longmen, and then presented four works: stone statue, Sun Qiusheng statue, Tibetan statue and elephant. These four works are among the best, dignified and elegant. Next, we came to Zhang Menglong Monument. The beauty of Zhang Menglong is that although the structure is neat, the brushwork is ever-changing and worth pondering.

Secondly, it is a tablet book with an epitaph style. Epitaph, not much, four is enough. The epitaphs of Zhang Heinv, Cuoheming, Mo Long Yanbei and Xi Baozibei complement each other and have the aftertaste of seal script, all of which are bad, wonderful and refined. Just kidding, these three kinds are not square or thick, but they look good! Like a 28-year-old beauty, Lin Daiyu's feeling is as beautiful as death. Why don't I like Cao Quan? Also a beauty, but too charming, too beautifully dressed, too vulgar.

Tang Jie, the next step is simple. Strict care is known to the world. Of course, there are Ou Yangxun and Chu Suiliang. As far as my aesthetic preference is concerned, Ou Chu doesn't want to learn. Ouzai is like a country gentleman, rigorous and rigid, and can't let go. Chu characters are like Fukiko in Liang Yusheng, rich and idle, with flowers in the greenhouse, thin and emaciated, unable to stand the wind and rain, steaming for three times and drying for three times.

Therefore, strictness is still the first choice in big letters. Yan Gonggong is mighty, with bones and flesh, heavy and solemn! Gong Yan talks too much, and I like everything. Choose what you want. Duobaota Monument, Baguan Pavilion Monument, Yanjia Temple Monument, Ode to Tang Poetry, Yanbei, Letter to Yourself, Monument to Datang Zhongxing, Portrait Praise, Guojia Temple Monument and Magu Xiantan Monument.

Liu Gongquan's ci is famous for its strength. Although the structure is rigorous and the strength is strong, each has its own lingering posture, and a lively and vigorous spirit is about to come to generate, which is extremely rich. His writings are mainly mysterious pagoda tablet, Shence military tablet, Liuhe tablet and Su Feng tablet, all of which should be deeply understood.

The fine print should be taken from Wei and Jin dynasties before Song and Yuan dynasties.

One is Hammer Cave and Wang Xizhi. Zhong You is the ancestor of official books, elegant and sparse, rigid and soft, quaint. I won't list the specific inscriptions one by one, but I have to read all the words stamped by the clock.

Xiao Ling borrowed Zhong You in lower case, which is both ancient and refined. Just visit Huang Tingjing, Le Yilun and Bei.

Secondly, Jiang Kui and Zhao Mengfu, the Taoist priest of Baishi, adopted the method of hammering the king, but did not put forward new ideas. They saw the ethereal spirit in Founder, and the book history of Tao, a predecessor, would say that "the white stone book is degreased and the common dust is washed away", which is really a comment. Only one copy of "Jiang Kui Pulling Nanny Wang Xianzhi's Post" is preserved in Baishi's calligraphy post.

As I said before, I should have joined the Song Dynasty, because Zhao was a survivor of the Southern Song Dynasty, and most of his descendants listed him in the Yuan Dynasty. In order to be rigorous, I follow the crowd.

I don't know why big characters must be written in European small characters. Wen Zhiming learned to write scriptures in small letters, and he also learned from Ling Fei. I hate being square but not square, ethereal and too charming.

In desperation, only Zhao can be so conspicuous. In the Five Dynasties, when he met Zi Ang, the official residence was a product, and all the relatives and nobles admired him. The original works of Neifu can naturally be visited frequently. There is no doubt that his lower case is based on the hammer king, but it also combines Yang Gaze, Cai Xiang's style and the brushwork of writing classics in Sui and Tang Dynasties. Simple and light, flowing freely. He has many famous books handed down from ancient times, so choose for yourself. Han Ji 'an Biography, Tao Te Ching, Luo Shen Fu, Shang Gao Cave Jade Classic, Wuyi, Tai Chi Illustration.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there were three writers who wrote well in small letters, namely Dong Xiangguang, Zhang Detian and Prince Cheng. If you are interested, you can look at their handwriting. All three writers are good.

At this point, the big and small characters are basically finished. I still have to think of a good running script, because I am a flat school, not a post-school, so I am brewing.

All the calligraphy inscriptions below can be found in the lower right corner of the picture.
