During his decades of ceramic career, Wang Shigeng once left the pot-making process and engaged in technical management, but he always regarded "kneading teapot" as a great pleasure in his life and pursued creativity with great passion.

1984 is the spring of Yixing purple sand, and there is a "purple sand fever" around the world. Pottery artists, collectors and potters at home and abroad came in droves, breaking the threshold of purple sand factory. For a time, Taodou was "expensive in Luoyang" and his masterpieces were "not enough to see". People try their best to get a famous pot. This spring, Wang Shigeng was sixty years old and retired gloriously. But he is old and full of courage, so he stays in Zisha Factory and enters another spring of his artistic creation.

That year, he celebrated his sixtieth birthday and made two pots specially: the first one was a "pebble pot"; The second one is "egg-wrapped Liang Guo". These two pots, like his "first work" as a teenager, won a reputation again in his later years. People praised him, and Wang Shigeng was indeed a man of great achievements.

Shi Geng, an old man with comprehensive skills and exquisite skills, has become more and more powerful and has repeatedly created excellent works. He has designed and created dozens of new products, such as square goods, round goods and flower goods, with many styles and exquisite products, which are admirable. He is determined to compete with young people in creation, show his talents, give full play to his strong advantages in pot making, and launch his masterpiece Multicolored Pot. This set of pots consists of five small pots, with five colors of mud and smooth colors. They are composed of six square pots with cloth patterns, green mud concave shoulder pots, red mud bagua pots, yellow mud pear flower pots and black mud sand bead pots. They are square or round with different shapes, but they are a unified organic whole in style. This group of works won the 1985 gold medal of Jiangsu ceramic new product appraisal, which caused a sensation at home and abroad.

Wutousha China tea set, a masterpiece of Wang Shigeng, was exhibited at Budapest International Expo in the spring of 1986, and was well received by the experts attending the meeting. Wang Shigeng is not only good at light cargo ships, but also good at making reinforced meat ships. The ribbed pot designed and produced by him has both form and spirit, smooth lines, elegance and generosity, and is unique in the design of the whole series of pots. The famous "13 Xiju Tea Set" and "9 Gaoju Tea Set" all take chrysanthemums as their themes, and their shapes are composed of 18 petals of chrysanthemums. The texture is clear, the transition is free, and the point, line and surface are rigorous and harmonious. In the world of purple sand, the requirements for technology are extremely high. This "western tea set" was originally a traditional "reserved program" of the Wangs. No wonder people praised Wang Shigeng for his skill, which was inherited from his ancestors and his own talent. The works in his later years are always traditional and innovative, exquisite and practical. For example, his innovative "skirt tea set" is a combination of practicality and artistry. From a practical point of view, the size is appropriate, the capacity is appropriate, the mouth is reasonable, and the water flow is smooth. From the artistic effect, the structure is rigorous and changeable, 18 is the same as flesh and blood, and the lines are interlaced with yin and yang, running through from top to bottom. Exquisite craftsmanship, tight cover and accessible cover have reached an unattainable realm.

Wang Shigeng's flowerpot plastic can best reflect his artistic ingenuity and creative ability. The "Pengcheng Wan Li Pot" designed and produced by him is like a Dapeng standing on the summit with its wings flapping.
