Painter Chen Sanyuan (1969-) Chen Sanyuan, pen name Shanyuan, originally from Xi 'an, graduated from Xi 'an Academy of Fine Arts, and his paintings and calligraphy works have won many awards in painting and calligraphy competitions at or above the provincial level. In recent years, he has published books such as Brief Sketch of Chinese Painting and Analysis of the Frame Structure of Chinese Characters in China. Now he is the vice president of Xu Beihong Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, the director of Qingdao Research Center of Xu Beihong Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, a member of Shaanxi Branch of China Artists Association and a painter in China. While imitating Master Xu Beihong, his paintings organically combine two different artistic styles of oil painting and Chinese painting, which have both the charm of Chinese painting and the color impact of oil painting, forming a unique painting style. His horse is full of body, different expressions and lifelike, giving people a vigorous and uplifting spiritual feeling. His paintings and calligraphy works have won prizes in painting and calligraphy competitions at or above the provincial level for many times.
He is good at drawing horses, and the horses he draws are lifelike and full of charm. A famous painter in Shaanxi is now rooted in Qingdao Development Zone. On the east side of the district government, the Qingdao Research Center of Xu Beihong Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute was built.
